Classic Tabletop games?

I brought up classic tabletop games (checkers, chess, monopoly, etc) at PAX before, and people here told me to feel free to bring my own.

I'm planning on bringing a chess board, hopefully people will be up for playing. I also wanted to know if anyone else was going to bring anything? I'd love a game of Stratego or Risk.

    Chess sounds awsometastic, especially while drunk. As for risk, that sounds like a long game to play at PAX.

    I agree, Risk or Stratego are just way too damn long! Not that Chess can't be time consuming. Good idea though, I'm sure there will be plenty of people up for it. Heck, there will probably be people up for Risk too if you set it up.

    Well the only reason I said Stratego or Risk, is because of the 24hr tabletop action at the Red Lion.

    STRATEGO!

    I accept the challenge! Never have I been defeated at a game of Stratego and I refuse to begin losing anytime soon*.


    *Likely attributed to my often playing some not so bright individuals that have no sense of strategy or ability to forumlate a gameplan.

    Stratego isn't that long a game. You can easily play a game in an hour at most! Risk on the other hand.. now that'd be a good post PAX evening into the night game to pass the time before sunrise. Sleep? Who needs sleep at a con?

    tabletop games I am planning on bringing:

    Carcassone, with Inns & Cathedrals, Princess & Dragon, Tower, and Traders & Builders expansions.
    Settlers/Seafarers of Cattan
    Puerto Rico
    Stratego
    and probably a few others, if I can find them.

    Puerto Rico and Settlers of Catan are both good.


    Games I could bring if there is enough interest:

    Entdecker
    Ticket To Ride
    Cleopatra
    Tongiaki
    Caravans
    Through The Desert
    Alhambra
    Warrior Knights

    And War Of The Ring. WOTR is pretty long though, so I doubt I would bring it to a con like this one. The others though, perhaps.

    Bring whatever you can. I love playing new board games, and would definately play a few of them with you.
