I cannot for the life of me figure out how it gave me my handle, nor can I figure out how to change it. It just gave me my email as a handle. (the stuff before the @)
I guess I have to PM server owners for password access?

Name changing is done through the friends panel and through steamcommunity. On the friends panel is under options under some thing or another, I can't be bothered to load steam to look.

Hey You: It's really rough as spy that's for sure. I die by pyros even more now, not to mention as Rak said earlier: I rarely frontstab anymore, but... my backstabs rarely even register anymore either.
I've mostly just avoided the PA servers since everyone's mostly felt like arguing since it came out. I've nearly gotten all my achievements for both Medic and Pyro as a result.
The pyro patch is actually what brought me back. I've been having a lot of fun since then, and branching out from Pyro, which was my favorite class pre-patch, has been a lot better than I would've expected.
I didn't play all that much at release, though, so I'm not sure that my lack of burnout isn't because I just haven't played as much as some others.
I think it's just that people have been playing a lot more since the class updates started, and are starting to burn out.
About those sound files, it doesn't necessarily mean that either of those classes are going to get their weapons next, though the fact that the Heavy is pretty specific about the details of his new weapons does indicate he'll get his relatively soon. They have to schedule times for the voice actors to read the new lines, so it's likely just that whoever gets their lines finished first gets them put in. That's probably why only the Demo and Heavy got new lines with the Medic/Goldrush update. If I recall correctly, they're voiced by the same person, so he was probably the only one to come in for it.
I'm just taking a break to watch every single episode of the American Office, and play through Diablo 2 in light of the 3rd coming soonish but not really.
Regarding the Heavy's "I found a new weapon!" taunts, it may well simply be tied to his alternate main gun. The man's obsessed enough with his regular minigun to give it a name, so the idea of having a totally new weapon that's even better than the old one would probably stick out enough in his mind to point it out to everyone he meets.

Is anyone else interested in playing a couple of rounds with Highlander rules? I tried a few rounds of this in a pub and it was tons o' fun.
For the uninitiated Highlander is a 9v9 with one person class limits. Both teams have one of every class and then they begin shooting the guns at the mans.
This isn't a tourney or anything like that, just a few friendly rounds if we got enough people interested. Just something to do on a Sunday (like HONCing)

Am... Am I the only one who feels like he's gotten better with spy since the pyro update? I'm pretty sure it just has to do with practice, but I've had more luck training backstabs since.
Also, highlander sounds totally awesome, are you stuck with your class choice or can you coordinate with a teammate to switch?

You can do it without going through the Friends panel. In console:
Turbine is yet another version of the Big Box Map that the FPS scene has been shitting out since Quake. It's a big open box with shit strewn around in a vain attempt to introduce some sort of strategy without having to actually make a map layout. They even made it symmetrical to cut down on development time. It's fine for someone's first map, or even a beta release or a POC, but there are better designed maps out there that should have been included in the patch.

I've started playing much less.
Just saw the "meet the sniper" vid. So good.
I haven't played since i got my axetinguisher. I'm hoping to abandon all care by the next content grind patch.
A number of people got disenchanted, myself included (though I am back now, I think).
Can't quantify it though. Although being on fire all the fucking time and having zero survivability vs. the masked ones is rather infuriating.

it's quite fun when you work as a team and get crazy shit done. granted it does have it's ups and downs, but so don't pubs.
one thing that gets me still is when i'm in a pub fighting 2-3 guys, another 2-3 guys come out of nowhere and rape my face.
