I received some EV-trained Pokés from a guy for basically nothing. While they seem to be legit because they enter PBR and Ranch just fine, am I right to suspect the things are hacked?
BTW, 84 pages and no thread name change? For shame.

Were they caught in the right places? at the correct levels?

If they're lvl. 100 it'd imply they have access to AR or some other manipulation device, but other than that there's no easy way to tell. Unless they're hatched on Moonlight Island or have six flawless IVs or something.

The D/P cloning trick is extra risky with a cool shiny. I'd be amazed if they pulled it off. But yeah, it's possible.

Wait a minute, I thought something was fishy, all the IVs of Magnezone add to Hidden Power Power. When putting them in a calc Hidden Power Grass 70 comes out. Definitely fishy.

The guy just got an R4 (by the time we did this) and started editing Pokés, then asked me to do some trades with him to pass them over to his legit card and in exchange offered me some modified Pokés. I agreed because of the bullshit luck I had been having those moments (and the amount of time I spent hatching) and since he said they couldn't be wrong or have unlegit stats I said "why not?".
I also asked him to change Stun Spore for Spore on my first Breloom, which I had evolved before knowing it had to be a Shroomish in order to learn it.
But he screwed the Regi I asked him to build by giving it Magnet Pull. I really wanted to use that thing.

You don't really need permission from anyone. I would ask that you use them in battle somewhere else to just see if maybe they're super powered in battle somehow.
Maybe Nozz was telling the truth, he had no idea that his Pokémon had become invincible.
My lies even had flaws there but you had no way of proving I was lying about not being sure.
Bad eggs do look bad on PBR and I wish they showed as bad eggs in the DS card so I could have noticed before I lost contact with the dude. Now I lost a Poké I didn't clone.

Nozz was using an R4 as well, if I recall correctly his post. I think he may have used an Action Replay instead because of the unstability of those. But I tested them on PBR and the only one that shows as a bad egg is the magnet pull Regi.
That Magnezone is just so hacked. I don't think that's ok. I don't know about the Empoleon. What's its Hidden Power?

I'm of the opinion that so long as you're not giving them impossible stats, like say Nozz did, then you're in the clear and are in fact smarter than the rest of us mooks that are making them from scratch. But that's just me.
EDIT: Getting a max strength HP is a little more iffy. I'd lean on the side of it being okay but it's much less clear-cut to me.

I'm one of those people who believe that lies will be brought to light someday. If somehow they showed glitched graphics (which I doubt they will and hope they don't) or something, I would have been as cornered as Nozz was with no way of redeeming myself.

And about Zone, I encountered several dozen of Magnemites with and without chains and found no shinies among them. I remember a guy who said he got like three or four red Gyaradoses while filling his Ranch.
Actually I changed my mind on the hp issue as I don't think I have anything that is weak to grass. Oh ho ho.
Fun fact! One of the gym leaders admitted to me that they haxxed pokemon to build their gym team! Which one is a secret! To keep it "fair" they gave them 22s across the board.
It will never happen. The developers have said that they want all Pokés to be different.
By the way, I found the picture of a crab that may be the source of that one crab that's competition to Kingler whose name I forgot:
I chose to give them non-perfect IVs because it wouldn't be fair to have perfect IVs. I guess this method isn't fair, either, but I wanted to make it more fair.
I've battled against someone here who had an illegal moveset and talked it through via PM. Of course, the guy had no clue and said it was from a friend.
