So, I just got back from China last week, where I had been studying Ping Pong. I haven't played in OVER A WEEK. I need help finding a place. I'm going to check out the Washington Table Tennis Center up in Bellevue on Monday, because it's the only place I've heard about. I know Gabe and Tycho are big fans of ping pong, and thought perhaps maybe some forum-goers would also play. I go to UW, and there are tables there, but honestly, the only people I've seen playing aren't that great. I am looking for people who love ping pong, who don't see it as a game, but see it as a sport. I'm posting here to find people, or at least find information. Are there places besides the Washington Table Tennis Center in Bellevue? If so, what are they? Is WTTC any good? I would go there hopefully daily once school starts, but definitely at least two or three times a week (depending on work in the Summer, etc), so getting a membership would probably be best. I've heard the people up there are good, and I'm hoping to play in their August championship.
So yeah, that's it, I guess I'm just looking for people who are ardent about the sport, and would be willing to get together to practice at time. I fear I'm already getting rusty not playing for a week.
Oh er, yeah, I guess I should specify that this is for people in Western Washington mainly, asking for advice at least. That was kind of stupid not to specify.
Also, I wasn't totally sure where to put this, so if it needs to be moved, please do so.

I practiced every single day when I was younger and around tables, and I was easily the best, but when I got to old to go to the youth center that had the tables, my dreams and hopes were crushed.
If you love ping pong, you know what it's like to really really want to play and you just can't.
I didn't know bellevue had a place like that, I'm going to look it up right now.
I'm buying a house soon, and planning to buy a table + robot (newgy 2040).
I highly suggest you buy your own racket.
I'd also be wary about going into a table tennis club thinking you'll be competitive. Expect them to completely dominate. In Austin, there's a few players who are near olympic level.
It's an awesome game, and I wish more people played seriously. Good luck finding opponents.
I support you getting your own table, but be wary of robots. Some of them will dent/cut the balls, and while higher-priced ones are good for "setting" your form, they don't give the variation that will happen from playing with a human. Just be aware of the pros and cons I guess. I'd recommend a coach (if you're in an area where you can find one) more than a robot, especially if you compare the costs.
In any case, good luck getting something together in Seattle/finding someplace to play.
* provided you can keep the ball on the table? I can teach that much, at least. Hehe, you said you were good when you were younger, and ping pong is a sport that usually comes back fairly fast. If you show up, and there's no one else there, I'll play you. Of course, I'm going to see if I can play with the guy that opened the place, but I don't know if he'll play me.
It turns out monday won't work, but I would lie to play you sometime.
I can definitely keep it on the table.
It only goes off when I try hitting it a lot harder than I should.
