    sure, now.

They have to pay roadies, gas, tour busses, and then they still have to pay managers, writers (if applicable), etc.

when they sell cd's they only have to pay for recording costs, managers, etc.

what the fuck is wrong with .99 cents per track

how the fuck is that too much to pay

It's as much or more than the price of CDs.

I've got some 18 track CDs that I have paid 15.99 for back here.

and you can get 100 gospel greats from late night tv ads for $24.99

no one's actually gonna fucking seriously advocate pricing based on song length, are they

    Blink 182 would have starved.

No, I'm talking about the amount of songs, not length of each song.

once again, a full album on itunes is $9.99, regardless of how many tracks

.99 cents per song is just the price if you're cherry picking

Also music I've never heard of, I buy after downloading if I end up liking it

I don't care much about the Invader Zim part (it was the only video on youtube that wasn't live/you could hear it) but man I don't see how anyone couldn't enjoy that song.

speakers usually color the sound in different ways

you know how shit sounds different in your car, on your headphones, through your pc speakers, over your 5.1 system? it isn't just the size of the speakers that's causing that, different speakers respond differently to some frequencies

flat-response speakers have no coloration and represent the sound exactly as recorded, but since our ears are so used to the 'sweetening' of a good pair of speakers, monitors make things sound like ass. they generally see use in recording studios for mixing, since they represent things accurately (for example, if you mix something on headphones (which generally misrepresent the bass by a great deal) then listen to it in your car, the bass will be ridiculously fucked up)

    oh okay

    thanks!

2:23 was all I could take.

I'm all for difference of opinion and such but for that type of music to say that you can't see how anyone would dislike it is a little extreme. There is a plethora of things to dislike about it.

Also I make a point of buying local bands' CDs if I liked them
Like these guys that played the Battle of the Bands last year
They played like three shows, sold an EP, and called it quits
It's a damn good disc and I'm glad I gave them a couple of bucks for it

yeah mastodon is one of the sickest bands there is (one of the few exceptions to the "nothing worth taking seriously is on the radio")

i've heard the song but i hadn't seen the movie yet so the video part was new to me
