Looks like some WoW seeped into those shoulder pads, though. Yuck.
I think I'm going to cry after seeing all the WoW influence in the game.. I was hoping they'd reserve all that junk for SC2, oh how I was wrong.
Though, it is awesome that Blizzard has given gameplay footage easily available right off the bat.
Is there a Diablo2 let's play thread thing? I have it installed and my brother just started playing so I'm going to start, right now. I have Diablo2 open and I'm making an account on US West.. or should I do East? I remember East being a lot less exciting and interesting.

Most of these Diablo 3 pages with screenshots/movies aren't loading properly for me. I thought it was a problem with Opera, but it's not loading in IE either. Probably getting hammered.
The graphics of Blizzard games always look 'meh' on announcement. It will get better.
Honestly? I think that looks fucking gorgeous.
Is it a *technical* marvel? No. But the art design is beautiful.
I just started watching the second video posted on the site and it looks a LOT better then those screenshots. The terrain is gorgeous, but I think the zombies could use some more variaton and those snake things look kinda goofy.

Is there any kind of ETA on D3 at all? Even like a Quarter & Year it will be released in? I'm considering dropping Hellgate and just waiting for this since I have a zillion other games to play.

Including the Barbarian and Witch Doctor--given the high overlap of the WD with the classic DII necro I think it's safe to say that the WD is *replacing* the necromancers.
STORYLINE
It has been twenty years since the events of Diablo II. Of those who faced the Lords of Hatred, Terror, and Destruction in the battle over the fate of Sanctuary, there are few still living who can bear to remember the horrors that the Prime Evils wrought upon the world. And of those who did not witness the terrible events firsthand, most believe the stories to be little more than myth. But something evil is stirring once again in Tristram, and it may already have claimed its first victim: Deckard Cain.
Also it pretty clearly says that Diablo 3 is played over an upgraded battle.net, so I don't think there is any meat at all to the Diablo 3 MMORPG delusions.
Also @ people whining about the graphics: Oh my god shut up. The game's art direction and craftsmanship is top notch. We have barely seen anything at all and it isn't even close to release. I am so fucking sad that I won't have to buy a new PC to play ugly games like starcraft 2 and diablo 3, wah wah wah.
