The visuals are great, they are pretty without requiring everyone to have an 8800GT, even though those will be old hat in a couple years when this beast is finally released.
From the looks of it, Tristram will play an important role as an area in the game, and there is a Lut Gholein-esque town named Caldeum which is obviously going to be a gameplay hub (there is isometric view concept art on display).

I really feel sorry for Diablo, I felt for him, wanted him to have a good, solid victory. Now we have to smack him down again? At least he's getting a little break.
I watched the first few minutes with a building sense of disappointment. I've been playing Diablo the past couple of days and I have to say that the original Diablo was better than Diablo 2. I can't explain the qualities that make it so, but I guess the very first combat kind of sums it up. In the original Diablo, getting surrounded was a death sentence. Here, it's just Tuesday. In Diablo 2 and it looks like in Diablo 3, that sense that every monster could be the death of you is missing. I guess I would prefer that monsters be scary as opposed to cannon fodder.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to buy it, but I was hoping they'd move back toward Diablo's atmosphere and gameplay.
