Saw this one yesterday, and while it's probably not much of a surprise, it's just a fucking awesome movie. Seriously, everyone should go see this movie.
I been trying to figure out where to put in in relation to all the other Pixar movies, but the thing is that almost every Pixar movie is great(least favorite is Cars).
I'm going to see it tomorrow. Went and saw Wanted last night and wanted to punch the guy who sat beside me. Talked through the entire movie, both to people, and on the phone, even tried having a conversation with me, and I had never met him.
Incredibly, incredibly good. Probably the best movie I've seen this year.
When Walle ran over the cockroach the first time I was like HOLY SHIT DID DISNEY REALLY JUST HAVE THE BALLS TO DO THAT but no not so much. Although they did have a blatantly (and hilariously) hung-over robot scene, so I guess it's okay.
All of my favorite parts of the movie had to do with:
The malfunctioning robots, especially the umbrella and "foreign contaminant" robots.
Especially when the foreign contaminant robot stops the airlock door from closing and when they're all forced to stop in the middle of the road by the sentry robots.
It's definitely my second favorite Pixar movie behind the Incredibles.
I really liked the ending song. By favorite part was
The 'dancing' in space. It just brought all the elements together. Eve and Walle, the Captain learning about the earth, and the two humans watching the robot and touching for the first time.
I am generally pretty critical of movies, even ones that I like. I can usually find something to nit-pick or bitch about even in movies that I highly enjoy.
Didn't have a single thing to complain about with this movie. It was excellent and I loved it. I may have liked it more than the Incredibles. Tough call.

About to see it. Its funny, the audience is mostly adults, not to say that its not full of kids but still good to see that people remember that Pixar films aren't just kids movies

Yeah, there was only a handful of kids when I went to go see it...like 90+% were adults.
End on
I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us
This could very well be my favorite Pixar movie. That says a LOT.
And, no matter how good the movie itself is, we shouldn't forget that short, either. That thing was hilarious. It felt like Portal if done by Chuck Jones.

You know what? Nanowrimo's cancelled on account of the world is stupid.
I actually thought the movie might have been a little bit better if
Wall-E had not regained his memory at the end. Man that would have been gut-wrenching.
But being a Disney movie, there's just no way.
That would have destroyed my soul.
Agreed. I was actually afraid that they were going in that direction for a minute there.
My favorite part about the movie actually had nothing to do with the movie itself: during the high-emotion scenes towards the end, the entire theater was dead silent. We had a ton of kids at that showing, and I could tell that they were genuinely concerned about what would happen.
That was fucking amazing. I've never seen that kind of masterful seizing of an audience (of course, I wasn't old enough to see Empire Strikes Back in the theaters back in '80...). I really hope this movie gets more nominations than Best Animated Feature (which it will slam-dunk) and maybe some technical awards. Best Director should be a serious consideration along with Best Picture.

So I have to see it by myself...
and mean
I started crying like a little girl at that part...
But being a Disney movie, there's just no way.
That would have destroyed my soul. I would have been an even more bitter husk of a human when I left that theatre. They are lucky they didn't do that.
I second Best Picture nomination!
Oh god no, I just saw the movie and that part had me near tears. The movie was soooooo sad at times. Great pic nonetheless.

What, don't leave us hanging!
Oh, that's awesome.
DISCLAIMER: May not look as good as it does in that small shot, but I did the best I could with my meager skills
