So Acer is one of the laptop companies that releases their own video drivers on their own time. No, you can not just download them from the ATI website. It won't install. There is, however, a workaround somewhere whose website I'd foolishly forgotten to save somewhere other than my hard drive. I'm hoping someone here also knows what it is.
When I reformatted and foolishly forgot to back up my drivers I was able to go to the Acer site and download a .pdf which gave links to all the drivers used on a fresh install. Are you looking for something like that?
What's the issue coming up when you try to install? If I remember right I was still able to update through ATI, but ATI's site made it ridiculously hard to find the right driver.
If you try to install it the installer will verify what kind of computer you have. If it does not belong to a certain brand it will not install the drivers.
