COSTUMES.
I think we can all agree that they are pretty important to super hero kind. How could Batman and co. strike fear into the hearts of criminals dressed like this?
They couldn't, that's how! That Batwoman is fabulous though. Loving the crimson utility purse.
Basically, this is a thread to discuss super hero costumes. What's better, Black Canary's JLI, shoulder pad days, or her modern "I like to get screwed in bar bathrooms" look? (Okay, but seriously, how is this the person that the Justice League of America is putting forth as their leader?) Which of Spider-Man's multitudinous costumes is your favorite? Why is a variation of blue the Batman standard instead of black, like the movies and animated series portray? Do we like those versions?
So yeah, let's talk costumes. Post your favorites and such. Perhaps we even chat about some favorite fan creations, like the stuff posted by our good friends at Project Rooftop.
Some of my favorite costumes ever include:
Dr. Fate
The Original Batman
The Classic Yellow 'n Blue Wolverine
And, of course:
The Hulk

female super hero costumes are mostly just dumb
i also really like the ya hawkeye's costume (exposed midriff aside)
edit- for that matter, i think regular hawkeye's costume is cool too, even though it totally shouldn't be. all purple with a big "H" on the forehead and wing lenses?

Yeah, during most of the Dixon days on BoP, Black Canary had pants. Then Simone and Benes took the book over, Canary went back to Fishnets, and Huntress started running around with a bare stomach, which is pretty much a big neon sign saying, "Shoot me right here!" God, I hate Huntress' slutty costume.

But yeah Robin's cape is really awesome.

Tom Noir's getup is pretty funky too. Most of th Guns' outfits are pretty awesome, but Tom's is by far my favourite.
Also, I love the way Stjepan Sejic draws the Witchblade's armour. He's one of the few artists that are able to make it look not-ridiculous
I just loved the fact that his costume was functional rather than simply spandex pajamas.
Deadpool, on the other hand, is all about the pajamas, but the pattern is just really great. You wouldn't know he was a goofy dweeb until he started talking.
Ultron's technically naked, but I think it's worth pointing out that I love the design for his head.
