Y'know, I really didn't need to memorize the lyrics to another of Joss Whedon's musicals.
...and yet here I am.
For me, nothing he does will ever surpass "Once More With Feeling".
I remember thinking that they couldn't possibly be seriously making a Buffy musical, and yet it turned out to be pretty fucking awesome and one of the best episodes of sesaon 6.
We watched Once More With Feeling again the other day (only the 3rd time I've seen it, I think, I'm not an obsessive watcher) and the songs have been in my head since, they are really well written. They make me want to write my own comedy musical, I think that would be so much fun to put together.

I am a critical Whedon fan. As I get older I seem to like Buffy less and less.

I've never really liked any of his stuff outside of Firefly and this. After seeing Firefly I tried to go back and get into Buffy, but never managed it. When not even Allyson Hannigan is enough to hook me on a show I know something's wrong.
