Acorn Theory shot down. I had 8 rotten acorns this morning at 8am. Up to 167... two more days to collect another 63 seems like it will be tight, but doable.

I'm at 163 after this morning. I don't think I'll make it. Maybe more will apear before work.
i've been seeing, on average, around 33 acorns per day. i am sure, with a little luck, you can make it.
in other news, a bear with a five o'clock shadow and a musty looking shirt has moved into town, his name is carl and he is my new favorite.
and in yet newer news, i should be getting wireless tonight and would like to play with some of you internet folks, either coming or going. my bpt is only 113 for the rest of the night.
Ha! I took about 50 acorns from Lemming's town and relieved him of half his life's savings. I shall share my wealth with the rest of you. I'll try to be open for much of tomorrow so anyone who's afraid they won't make the 230 mark by sunday may take some acorns. Hopefully Cullen will drop by...?
Time to beg for turnip prices. I haven't had a good run in a month.
Edit: Oh hey, Sgt, I can do a quick run in your town. Open seseme!
I'm probably going to hit 230 acorns (I only need about 10 more) so if there's any spare I'll post here and anyone who needs them can have them.
In other news, I got the golden watering can today, as well as a box of tissues. Not a bad haul really.

I don't think I've ever had a good turnip price, but that may be because I always forget to buy them and until very recently I had no WiFi access, so I didn't bother to check.
I've harvested my 'corns for the day and I am sure I will be over the 230 mark, so I am in the same boat as the rest of you as far as my willingness to hand over my excess. I too am looking for good 'nip prices today. I am at 139 for the next 40 minutes and just can't bring myself to sell at that price (though the non-gambling part of my brain tells me I should).
In other news, i've acquired the golden slingshot, so yay. Beyond that, I have wireless now and am eager to get my ac:ww wifi on.
for one reason or another i simply cannot connect to the wifi. my computer is, of course, running smoothly. the test connection in the wifi settings (ds) menu is fine.... AC detects no signal and then freezes. i'll keep trying!
If you've got a Modern Wardrobe or a Lunar Horizon wallpaper sitting around it would make me ecstatically happy. If not then you can have the acorns anyway.
Either way I'm opening my gates now.

Thanks to Jammers' kind help, I now have all the mush items, yay.
The HRA doesn't have much taste in judging. They gave me like 20k extra points and called my house Stylish and Elegant and whatnot. All I did was toss the mushroom stuff into my kitchen temporarily, it looks terrible.
Yay, after 10 months of waiting I can finally complete my mushroom/insect/flower/pikmin room! Except it lacks a Pikmin. Cullen, if you can find some time to oblige?
I hope you can decide which of your children you love more, Eyes5, because that all can't go in one room.
10 pieces of Mush Furniture
15 hybrids (5 roses + gold rose + 3 pansies + 3 cosmos + 3 tulips)
---
25 items - 24 item/room limit = 1 piece left over
And that's not even considering bugs and pikmin.
I don't have a blue rose, so I don't have this problem (yet); once I finally manage to get one, however, I think the gold roses can move outside, since they never wilt.

Why must you dash my dreams so?!
Actually, I don't think I'll be using many flowers for decorating. I prefer to keep them outside for breeding. 290 hybrids now, and steadily rising!

Because I thought it was an awesome idea and implimented it Saturday night (sans Forest Floor), only to run head-first into the stupid 24 item limit. I knew that your house was all munchkinied up to maximize feng sui, so I was betting that you had never run into the stupid limit when trying to do something cool. I went ahead with it anyway, even though flowers are worth shit from the HRA (my score took something like a 50,000-point dive), because I know one day I'll stop playing -- really, my birthday at the end of the month is the only thing I'm still interested in doing -- and I didn't want to lose all of my hard work should I ever feel the need to fire the game up again... unlike Nintendogs, which I will never power on again, forever keeping my puppies in a blissfully-ignorant state of suspended time, free from any burdens or woes.
The fact that flowers/clovers, pictures, bugs, and (to a lesser extent) fish count as actual pieces of weighted, "floor's gonna give out" furniture is maddening. Maybe AC:Wii will give each piece a real, quantifiable weight and let us really go crazy with our room design without imposing artificial and arbitrary limits...
I would think that the "weight limit" would just be to cope with a limitation in the hardware, right?
I mean, the signs are all there. On the GC version, there was no limit to what you could put on your floor, but the system for storing things in dressers also sucked. In this version, it seems like they ran into problems allowing you to put as many things as you want on the floor, so they made up for it by giving us lots of storage space.
Imposing a weight limit as an arbitrary rule seems contrary to the rest of the game. When you play, you don't have to eat, you don't even really have to clean, and you only have to work as hard as you want to in order to get the stuff you want. I'd bet money they take out the "weight restriction" on AC:Wii.
Is there anyone available right now to help me complete my museum? I need a scary painting and a common painting. Sgt. Cortez was kind enough to offer to help me last week, but our schedules don't seem to jive. Is there anyone out there right now?

I just ordered a common one for you. Check your PMs.

I spent a little time drawing patterns of Nina and Bleu from the SNES version of Breath of Fire II. You should put them in your town because if you don't you'll never ever be cool and everyone will loathe you.

I haven't counted, but I probably have ~25 acorns sitting around that I don't really need, so if someone's short, I can help.

Man, I wish I hadn't stopped playing like a year ago.
Sell them on ebay.
