Well the old armor's the standard, isn't it? Richard's current look is due to him having to house both the Worldmind and the Nova Force. As for the cover, best bet is that it's a Kree, seeing how Nova #5 is part of the A:C storyline.

Well, now the Wrecking Crew's involvement seems to make sense. Looks like they're being manipulated by Tanaraq, if not all the Great Beasts. Oeming is really doing a good job of being true to the classic Alpha Flight run by Byrne
I really hope the sales on this will encourage them to finish printing the rest of the Hitman trades. It's a series that deserves to be collected in full.
