    EDIT: Also, it's not a remake like FF3/FF4 DS. It's an "enchanced port" like Dawn of Souls etc on GBA.

    So A Chrono Trigger remake did beat Earthbound on the Virtual Console.

    If it is a TOSE port this is about the extent of what they will add.

    A new dungeon or two.

    Some items.

    Maybe a new ending or two.

    Maybe the PSX FMVs. Possibly. I somehow doubt it, while cool they are slightly jarring.


    This is what I expect given their past port history.

    That's it. Otherwise expect the same damn SNES game faithfully ported.

    The ticking sound effect is the exact one that plays when you start up Chrono Trigger.

    If they're serious about doing this I'm guessing that it will end up looking like the Dragon Quest remakes that are coming to DS more than the FF remakes. So it will still be in the 2-d style, but the graphics will upgraded.

    Way too much hype thus far here.

    I love Chrono Trigger, but we barely know what they are doing with the DS remake so far....or if it is a remake at all.

    It's on a DS screen. Would there be much point? Adding in more animations would be nice though.
