There are some secret areas in zones that aren't required to unlock the boss fight. These will often be full of weaker enemies, but with the cash bonus of the zone. One such area can be found north of the lookout tower in the 8th zone (the one with the witch boss). Very useful if you need money but don't want to risk your life for it :P
So yeah...that field by the witch. I just found an ettin there that took, like, 15 minutes of clicking to kill. Dropped 4 million+ gold and...I think a stack of random gems.
Still wasn't fucking worth it. My hand is in shambles.
Don't know how they grade them, but the ettin is the rarest and toughest monster of its family. Send my best regards to your hand.
Should I just keep upgrading my level 50-something dagger or buy a new sword? Also, what element is the lizardman assasin? I have like +14 water enchant and i'm hardly doing any damage to him.
edit: actually, he goes to full health every time he disappears...
Yeah I noticed he has that tendency - just took out a room full of dracula-wannabes and I'm at the snow queen! She's pretty fancy! Now I've got 2M to blow, don't know whether to pump my weapons or my stats.
I remember when this was posted a few weeks ago on Game|Life. One thing I noticed during play, the size of your sword only affects the area of effect when you are making physical strikes. It's strength that will help you do more damage with a sword hit.
For grinding, the best areas for me are the frozen wastes in Area 14 (row 1, column 3) and the steeple with the demons in Area 15 (row 1, column 2). The Frozen Wastes are good, since you often see very easy enemies there, but their gold output is greatly multiplied due to the high area number. Once you are leveled enough, Demons can be good as a consistent source of income.
On a side note, I still haven't beaten this thing, and I think my magic level is like 500? Yeah... lots of grinding ahoy.
Well dang. Well Nin Nin is in the treant forest for what it's worth.
Edit: yes nin nin is better than this indigo guy
also: i finally saved up the 10 mil to buy that awesome spell, only to discover that it is actually 100 mil. good times.
Ah well. Sword level 50 -> 150. Huzzah! It now reaches clear to the other side of the screen. And! Width enough to look buster-swordy. Let's now hope that everything endgame is weak to water 'cause that's what this sword's got.
Man what. The sword's level makes a huge difference. Grab a level 1 wep and a level 60 one and compare damage, it's quite different!
Huh... I didn't notice. Maybe it had something to do with my weapon elements...? Regardless, once I got the chaser spell, I dropped building physical strength and built up intelligence instead. I also removed the gauntlet so I could spam more magic... mmm.
Got to the 4th or 5 map and decided I was in danger of breaking my mouse. Cool game, though. I just had to stop before I sunk hours into it and had to continue just based on commitment.
I am terrible at this game. At Poseidon. Almost every "tough" enemy takes about a billion hits. Circular magic spell, level 29 Diamond enchanted Katana
Oh dang secret bosses. I just now got to the regular boss. false god or whatever.
Edit: nevermind, easy enough to figure out where to go - i'm so glad there's a doppelganger fight - my computer's clock runs slow so i didn't quite realize how late it is! to be continued!
Dammit a Gargoyle emperor just killed me. Almost dead too. Got unlucky and got hit by a fireball with only a little health left from being reckless. WOnder how much cash that thing would've dropped?
Addictive as hell. I just beat the Sorceress, and so far I've been grinding the Minotaur boss, because it's really easy to beat and gives about 11,000 every time.
I'm grinding poseidon to upgrade my stuff, and I realize that all this game is is a huge grind fest. I really hate the controls too, but I can't stop playing.

I fought one in the witch fields that dropped 800k
Woot. Two times I encountered enemies who dropped 6 million each.
My Zweihander is now level 308. It covers almost half the screen in width, and all the screen in length.

Helpful indeed when he's not busy humping the boss. I swear you WILL scream at the AI at least once.

I am assuming her weakness is fire?
Edit: Lizardman is fire-weak.

On third to last boss though.

It saves automatically and you can continue where you left off when you get back to the game.
EDIT:
It took me about 145 swings to take its health down one pixel. Fuck this!
hurts...
must rest...
ow...
So glad this thing can't shoot at me or wander into my corner.
