This is the best hardcover since...uh..hardcovers.

Good to see at least one comic won't be sucked into the Civil War jazz, too.

Yay NextWAVE for actually having the balls to stand against the CW juggernaut, or something.

Cable and Deadpool is too busy having fun spoilering everything that happens.

Photon recalling the naked buffalo-men was awesome.

Because "cover your eyes, go back to the mansion, and make me my dinner" is exactly what I would picture Captain America say to her in that situation.

    YES.

I love this book for it's complete inability to take itself seriously. Even in the art, Immonen goes out of his way to make panels that are just ridiculous, especially in the action scenes

Points to Ellis for taking a bunch of people that were b-listers and has-beens and making them cool again. The Captain was a beast in this last issue, so much so that I'd really like to know and see how Cap kicked his ass. That must've been a crazy fight.

I was also reminded of the Axe Gang from Kung Fu Hustle.

I think I may have to sue for infringement, because the Mindless Ones look just like some generic alien bad guys I made up in some crappy comics I drew as a kid. :P

Unless you can prove you came up with them before they appeared in Strange Tales #127 back in 1964, your lawsuit might be a bit of an uphill battle.

The most amazing thing about this book is that it's making me like Boom Boom. Seriously, after Liefeld's X-Force, who ever thought that could happen?

The Captain being a real superhero was great too. This is quickly becoming one of my most anticipated books every month.

I didn't even realize that Tabby was Boom Boom.

For some reason when the Captain said he was from Brooklyn and barely being able to **** understand english I nearly pissed my pants. I even had to bring the book to my fiance to show her the page. She thought I was insane.

[spoiler:f296571fb7]except for a Dirk Anger suicide bit is starting to get a little stale. The first time, when he used the giant gun, I nearly crapped my pants... but hanging? With rope? How boring is that? I want fun, inventive suicides! [/spoiler:f296571fb7]

Dirk doesn't strike me as either fun or inventive. I mean, he's essentially a lead testing manager for HATE. He doesn't actually create any of the weapons he uses.

But, yeah, I'm hoping he tries a guillotine next.

9 and 10 were beyond awesome. Immomen is the best artist in the industry. The Forbrush Man stuff, with the homaging of different artists was so well done people thought there were guest artists for the issues.

I really like the language Ellis has the Kree speak in. Kind of a newspeak thing. Fits their culture very well.
