    Whose rolling order?

I'm going Black Orc or Chosen. Doesn't mean I can't have an Order fortress.

I just need to deal with the previous residents first

Reading the news update on the war-europe site, seems that the other pairings capital cities are getting pushed back further and further into the future and more likely to appear as expansions than updates. At least that's the impression I got from it, which is a little disappointing.

That said, the RvR fortresses as uber keeps do sound very interesting, especially if there is still the options for Guilds and Alliances of Guilds to take and control them.

Obviously only time will tell, but that would be a pretty major set back IMO. Not enough to deter me from trying WAR, but enough to make it much less grand.

The "uber fortresses" sound awesome. The customizable mounts thing makes me want a rainbow colored daemonic steed.

I read somewhere (from an interview) that they plan on lifting the NDA within four weeks, I will try and find a link.

Please let that be true. I want to actually see the game, not the staged, weird-looking trailers or lifeless walk-throughs. I would gladly watch someone just playing for 20 minutes on Vimeo (or high-quality YouTube).

Here is a link to a summary of the interview, can't find the actual thing though. And an NDA drop means open beta soon too, which hopefully Mythic deems me worthy to participate in.

Once we get a server list we might as well just pick one at random ( core pvp) and all try to roll there.

Then see what happens, if we don't get a euro guild running we can atleast have a PA channel on said server.

I would roll with the main crew but I worry about missing the majority of the pvp goodness due to time differences.

That and the americans may struggle with the superior british humour.

    Excellent.

EDIT: My YouTubing has ascertained that the Magus looks bad-ass, but the Goblin Shaman I was so looking forward to looked boring as shit. Goblin spent more time healing himself than doing any damage. I can't wait for the NDA to lift so robothero can tell me if it really is as boring as it looks :/

EDIT2: Disciple of Khaine also looks like fun. Lovely healyness plus chopping dudes with swords.

Even with my certain sources the Shaman player puts in as much as he gets out. But for you to want to purely DPS shouldn't go with a Support class. I'm sure that in the big raid fights that the Shaman is a better assest to the group keeping them alive than adding their minute amount of damage to the current target.

What I'm curious about is with the Black Orc/Ironbreaker with the latest cut to their races' MDPS career. With this retune them to be more offensive or at least in the early chapters. Also I want to find out what's the final say on their taunts and will they be able to deal with melee support careers. Since Tanks > Melee DPS due to outlasting their assaults, what will they do to outlast a career that continuously heal themselves .

    .

It wasn't that I want to do pure DPS par se, more that I don't enjoy trying to solo a character that spends more time performing heals on themselves than actually hitting the enemy.

    That's no fun.

There are a ridiculous amount of beta videos on youtube right now, and they aren't down last time I checked. NDA has to be coming down soon, and that means a beta I have a shot at!

Also last I heard on taunt was that its a 30% damage debuff to your target unless they attack you and its also a 20% buff to your damage unless they hit you three times. I could be wrong, and its also probably changed since that was from gamesday I think.

I'd imagine that when you get to the point of beta where you have so many people in it, you'd kind of accept that people are going to be breaking NDA's. I dont think they'd be really all that concerned at this point, which goes along with the videos still being up. Maybe they'll get taken down at some point, maybe they'll identify the users and kick them out (i wonder if theres some kind of blacklist for future beta testers?) but i dont think they'd really be that worried about it.

Well, nothing wrong with Mythic leaking a few videos.. but it's not leaking when it's their own stuff. I'm just going by how closely Funcom guarded AOC's NDA right up until release. It wasn't exactly air-tight, but it was surprising given the amount of people in the beta.

How can being a tank that can also MDPS the shit out of things possibly be balanced? Although, that said, the Warrior Priest/Disciple of Khaine are supposed to put out a bit of MDPS and heal themselves... so maybe it does balance in some bizarre way.

But yeah, no hurty orcs is silly.

Well I was thinking you couldn't do both at the same time, but you'd have to spec for one or the other maybe? I don't really have an answer. I'm just saying that not having an orc whose main focus is on choppin off heads is suckey, so I hope black orcs have that option. It sucks by itself that the Orcs only have one playable class and the goblins have two, and everyone else has between 3 and 4 but that's another can of teeth.
