Help name my dog!

stdFXstdFX Registered User regular
edited July 2008 in Help / Advice Forum
So we just picked up a new puppy and could use some help picking a name. A few details:
  • She is a Border Collie / Yellow Lab / Mutt
  • About 6 weeks old
  • We would prefer "non-human" names
  • Anything with a sci-fi or geeky twist would be a plus

Now, on to the cuteness!

My wife says that she has that same puppydog look as Tess from Voyager. So, Tess.

Or, if you know how many puppies were in the litter, you could call her "Three" of Five.. or Seven of Nine..

Or, you could name her "Askher"

    "What's your dog's name?"
    "Askher"

Name her after Kryten from Red Dwarf? You can't get much geekier than that.

Statistically, people who give their dogs human names tend to be more attentive to their pets.

Also, one-syllable names are harder for dogs to pick out, as are very complex names. Two-syllable names are ideal.

Forget naming it. Just give it to me.

    OR name it Paula. Earthbound.

    Or Lucca, Chronotrigger.

Or if you want non-human.... Nimbus, because she is all fluffy like a cloud.

Yeah, just give her to me. I will solve all your problems.

Janeway is perfect! Geeky, kinda human, two syllable.

Zero, or Roscoe. Gotta end with a vowel, easier to yell that way.
