I am getting a promotion, and based on the size of the pay increase, I may be getting a new car.
What kind of car do you have in mind?
Really haven't looked into it yet. I don't know what kind of raise I'll be getting, so I don't know if getting a car is even possible yet.
But it'll be a small, inexpensive car with a decent safety rating. Maybe even a hybrid, since I saw something the other day that says that with gas prices the way they are, hybrids are finally worth the money.
I bought a house from an uncle when I was 18. I did some improvements on it and then sold it a couple years ago. I got tired of living in the country so I now rent a town house in my hometown. It's not too bad of a place. I plan on building a house sooner or later. I will probably buy some land on the outskirts of town and do one from the ground up. That won't be for a long time though.
What the fuck are you guys doing buying houses straight out of college?
Are those like papermache houses?
People work for 20 years to get a proper house over here.
It is entirely possible, even now, to buy a decent starter home for less then 10k down.
They aren't fancy, and they aren't big, but they are yours.
I agree... the problem is though people hear stuff like completely possible and forget that after that there s an assumed "with financial planning, responsibility, saving, and wise choices"
When I was small, me and my brother "golfed" (Hit the ball with a club and then go find it) on our yard.
I guess one of us stepped too close when the other did the test swing.
Results: Two black eyes, lots of tears and my dad hiding the club.

"one of us"?
you don't remember whether it was you or your brother that got hit in the head with a golf club?
must have been a pretty hard test swing if it made a hole big enough to let all that stupid in
Well, both of us really.
I can't remember who did it first. But both did get too close when the other did the test, but the fight didn't start before the second test swing, sooo...
I thought I was the only faggot who played on the boards. Hell, I work as a starter at the local muni course.
And those Procombos are fucking sweet. What driver are you looking at?
Hint: Say Taylor Made Burner Pro.
I've never played a real game. I've been hitting the driving range with my friend for about 4 months now and I'm finally at the point where I can hit consistantly and past 250 yards most hits.
I'm looking at big berthas, but I also don't know who make good drivers.

250 should be good, as long as you can keep it straight. Keep in mind that actually playing on a course is totally different than the range. That one shitty swing out of 5 you have on the range will cost you a couple strokes.
For drivers, Taylor Made and King Cobra are the best for the money right now. Have a pro look at your swing and determine the right loft and flex on the shaft. Buy the wrong thing and you'll sacrifice accuracy and distance.

My shots are mostly straight, as long as I take the time to make sure that I'm keeping my left arm straight, eye on the ball, following through, slightly bent knees etc etc.
My driver right now is an old wood from my dads set that he got back in the 70's or so. It's not bad, but I can hit farther with my friends drivers.

I'm joining this club, and I nominate myself as the CEO of the club.
Now, as I'm CEO, I'm disbanding the club and using this fort for my own purposes.
You have two weeks to vacate.
Are you a Man of Circumstance, NAC?

That depends on what you want your phone to do.
