Urgh
I want to register for this but I'm only 17. If I register with my folks' name, I'd lose my points when I finally want my own account.
can you not just lie about your age?
I was considering asking that but I didn't want it to bite me in the ass.
Well it doesn't ask for proof of age, and you can pay with debit cards when you need credits. So I don't see how it would unless you scream your age from the rooftops :P
Man, you'd think there'd be lots more PS2 games.
Helloween, I meant after the double pack
I do have a few on my request list but only because they seem like good value.
Has anyone had any good experiences with any particular brand of those cheap disc resurfacing thingies? I have a few fairly light scratches on the last disc of final fantasy ix, and they're keeping me about an hour or so from completing it. I was thinking of picking up a 'Gameware' one, so any knowledge of the general quality of that brand would also be useful.
anything on umbrella chronicles? I'm half tempted to pick it up from goozex but I know it's not worth the £25-ish they're asking on there. Same with Corruption.
GAME have a deal on where 12 months Xbox Live are only £30 when bought with 1600 MS Points, making 12 months and 1600 points £43 quid. 3 quid for 1600 points, basically.
Re: Goozex: Shipping from the UK to Italy takes forever. I just got positive feedback for Assassin's Creed, which I sent about two weeks ago. Compare that to within the UK, where the turnover is about 1-2 days.
Helloween45, I dedicated the first dea hooker to you buddy. Cheers!
I also got your MGS 3 package today (from the PO depot) so it's a double whammy. Also, I picked up Link's Crossbow training and zapper for the Wii AND 5 PS2 games for a tenner. The five games you ask?
The Suffering, Bully, Manhunt, Soul Calibur 2 and Shadow of Rome. Not bad for a fiver.
Also, more good news!
I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!
Mayhem on the virtual streets of Vice City AND Leeds. Oh yes.
I actually thought I'd failed, went through red lights (but I was tunring into a corner so I had to wait for oncoming traffic to pass). Goes to show you never do know what'll happen.
I'm concerned now. I just got the GTA double pack (thanks helloween!) and I'm worried the virtual road rage might pass onto the real one.
I cut off all goozex trade regions other than the UK. International postage introduces too much effort and Goozex is meant to make life easier for me.
The system is also losing some of it's shine on my initial experimental trade out. Guy matched Rub Rabbits and sent a message asking me to pick up the trade. I sent it out sharpish, 1st class recorded delivery on the 10th Feb. According to tracking the post office still has it so I assume it's lost in the post or he hasn't bothered to pick it up from the delivery office... Hardly Goozex's fault but still sours one's first impressions.
Also last time I mention it I promise, (I swear people showed interest when it was first filmed, but maybe that's my imagination) the episode of To Buy Or Not To Buy (BBC daytime property porn) featuring me and the missus is on the iPlayer for a week. Monday the 16ths episode.
Anyone know how easy a train journey from brum to leeds is?
I've done it a couple of times, takes about 2 hours on a direct train, one of those big Virgin ones. About half the time they were absolutely rammed and had to stop people at New Street getting on the southbound ones. Northbound never seemed as bad. Probably depends on the time of day.
Big Isy, you will get enough natural road rage from silly drivers round here that you will forget about any virtual driving games. The only time I pretended I was in a game was about 2.30am driving round some city bypasses (it was when there was no one else around, the city was completely empty and filled with lights, just like a game, and I was listening to the Chemical Brothers...and I didn't break the speed limit, just made some "car noises")!
Jam Warrior, I will be all over that. Terrible daytime TV, especially involving property, used to be a favourite in-between-uni pastime of mine.
hmm, gotta go up and see the uni in a week or so, just wondering how easy it would be to go and come back same day.
It would be fairly easy, provided you don't get on a train before 9am. I used to do campus tours around the uni and never really heard any problems from people coming up from Birmingham.
Also, Jam Warrior - the looks on their faces when you said you weren't going to buy - priceless. I actually laughed out loud. But what kind of weirdo house doesn't have a bath in it?! Interesting that you come from Gloucester, I lived there when I was on placement last year.
Are there any sites selling Live point codes for less than just buying them direct from MS? Basically I want the points tonight rather than in a few days from buying a card.
has anyone used this site? I'm willing to pay a quid extra for Lost and the Damned just so I can get the ball rolling on what I know will be a painfully slow download.
i just want to know if the site is reputable. They call you to give you a code? Hmm.

Anyone pre-ordered SFIV from game?
I'm looking at my pre-order and it's not even hit packing and posting yet even though my friends CE has been. Just want to know whether I should start panicking now or later?
Just got a PSP Slim and i'm after a case for it. Prerably something pretty sturdy as it'll be spending most of it's life in my bag when i'm on the train to/from work. Doesn't need to have loads of pouches or anything to fire all the accessories in, it'd just be the PSP on it's own.

Man I hate pre-ordering.
My regular PS3 copy was posted yesterday. I ordered it 6 months ago mind, the last time they had a £5 voucher. Not playing until my Fightpad arrives though, and it hasn't come into stock anywhere yet.
The PSP is already as sturdy as all fuck. A screen protector and the neoprene case that comes with it should be all you need.
Brother has a PSP, nice but the game catalogue never really got to me, also is the DSI coming out in europe? Havent heard anything about it
It'll be coming sooner or later. I would have to say that now would be about the worst possible time to buy a new DS. Wait a few months and you can either get a newer model or take advantage the inevitable price drops on the old model.

Uber congrats! And in Leeds too! Never took my test here as I heard the pass rate was so abominably low.
Maybe we shall bump into one another on the roads of Leeds. Or maybe that was a bad choice of words.

The post last page about MS points still holds true.

Out of stock it says Already had one ordered then the store phoned me to cancel my order last night. Bad times thank you anyway.

"Spring 2009" was the original official estimate for DSi to Europe.
