I've observed enough fanboy discussions to know that once set, a fanboy can not be swayed from his point of view. So I'm not going to go off on a huge rant here.
If magneto can survive in space (where it is very cold) how is Snow's power going to pass through? His force fields can stop anything from a rock to an energy blast to a series of nukes. Telepathy (which is completely non physical) can effect him if he isn't wearing his helmet. Snow's power is not telepathy (right?) and thus should prove unable to penetrate Mags shield.

Regardless I'm pretty sure that Sue and Mags will team up and if thats the case they can't lose imho.

The force field is strong enough to deflect stuff, but with Snow's powers there's nothing to deflect. The change in temperature would occur within the field instantaneously with no actual penetration involved.

Snow's power doesn't have the power of telepathy, but his power is mentally activated. Rather than shooting cold from his hands, he (from what I gather) just sends a mental command for the temperature to drop. So, in order to drop the temperature within the bubble, he merely commands it to do so (and therefore the only way Magneto can stop him is if his magnet bubble blocks the transmission of mental commands to an area, which it doesn't as Xavier is able to go through it to send mental commands to Magneto's brain).

And I don't see why Magneto would be more prone to teaming up with Sue than anyone else. If AoA Magneto even had any relationship with the AoA Sue, he doesn't know this Sue and, what's more, her only experience with him is as a mutant terrorist.

Personally, I'm not giving Magneto wormholes for this thing. It's one of those exaggerated powers he's probably not supposed to have. Like Captain Marvel being able to live inside out.

But he did have that inside out power for his fight... although that "power" is icky, at best.

Maybe it's my fanboy thing, but at least this fight seems like a good one. Although I don't see how Snow can encase anything in ice at the speed of thought. Does he conjure the ice out of nothing? I know, comic book physics. but still...

Snow doesn't conjure ice. Cold is the lack of heat. Snow can subtract heat. When something suddenly has no heat in it, it freezes. Snow does not have hydrokinisis, he can't control water or ice, he just controls the temperature, which is really a hell of a lot more powerful.

    ALSO:

In what issue of what series does magneto do the whole badass thing in Age of Apocalypse?

Cold is the lack of heat? How... sciencey... so, I guess alternatively heat would be the lack of cold? My point was, how can he instantly lower the temperature of an area enough to encase anything in a block of ice? At what temperature is something instantly frozen?

Did you drop out of school at 10 or something?
Heat is a form of energy. Cold is literally the absence of heat. It's not rocket science.

He's still pretty weak in the sense that you could just sneak up behind him and shoot him in the head. As long as you get the first shot and it connects you've got him.

He's like batman in the sense that it'd be pretty hard to do that though, with all of his training. Possible, just not likely. I remember I had some issue of a black and white batman comic where he was finally killed by some random guy who worked in an office, and just waited around until batman was fighting some thugs and shot him in the back of the head.

As far as how fast Snow can cool things down, I'm guessing he removes all the energy from an object instantly, reducing it to absolutely zero for a fraction of a fraction of a second, but that's all it takes for something to die.

absolute zero by the way is when something has zero energy. Which can't be maintained, as everything in the universe is being constantly bombarded with different kinds of energy.

Theoretically, it can never actually be hit, without freezing the universe, because there would be some particles, somewhere, vibrating and giving off heat, however small.

With Magneto's magnetic shielding, it would be less of a shell and more of a volume with defined boundaries. By the nature of his power, it would most likely be a inverse-square force field. Everything inside would be under the effect of magnetism, and not just a thin slice. Magnetism can't influence telepathy, which has no molecular grounding. However, Magnetism can definatly effect the kinetic motion of molecules.

Uses his prep time to make up a metallic, lifesized construct of himself.

Snow flashfreezes the construct, thinks he's beaten mags.

Didn't Magneto prevent the X-Men from using their powers by cutting off the flow of oxygen to the part of their brains that controlled them? Why am I asking, I know he did. So who cares what Snow could do to him, Magneto can prevent Snow from being able to do anything at all.

Snow is a better Iceman(no limitations and a twist to his power to get through mag's shields), combined with Batman's detective skills. Pre time for Elijah is almost the same as prep time for Batman. The guy was trained personally by Sherlock-fucking-Holmes. Plus a century of experience dealing with the weirdest shit around.

Elijah Snow and Magneto or Elijah Snow and Invisible Woman.

Main reason being magneto's forcefields have never been show to block instant reductions of heat. I'd put Magneto and Snow ahead of invisible woman because Snow has fought an extremely evil version of Invisible Woman, and based on the powerset alone he will probably go for the kill right away.

So what if he carried a small atmosphere around with him. If Snow can freeze things on earth, he can freeze things inside magneto's bubble.

Which, again, doesn't make any sense because he doesn't use his forcefield all the time or even most of the time, when it's apparently super-invulernability, which seems like a pretty good thing to have.
