I've been watching reruns and a few missed eps. from the last season, and I just like the show more and more. I kept thinking only Hugh Laurie could carry the show, until I saw the two-parter "Euphoria" where [spoiler:6afd1a4b93]Omar Epps went completely psycho with the disease he contracted.[/spoiler:6afd1a4b93]
which totally makes him deserve a Golden Globe this year.
I've noticed a few of you love this show, and I know a helluva lot of other people do, and I hope Season 3 is just as shocking as this last season's final episode. Whoooo, that was a big one.
Update
The fourth season of House starts tomorrow. Highlights include... you guessed it, a whole new cast. Hell yeah.
and I hope Season 3 is just as shocking as this last season's final episode. Whoooo, that was a big one.
I don't think "shocking" is the right word. I thought the season 2 finale was good..but...it was also crafted to get ratings and manifest a cliffhanger. I wish it would have toned itself down a bit and focused on House's dual-world reality problem and not be so...well...outlandishly improbable.
House freaking rocks. Season 3 shall rock. So long as they don't fuck it up.
It's sad when one has to worry about a network fucking up a formula show.
Yeah. I saw Euphoria for the first time last night. I was really impressed with everyone in that episode. It was really good. That said, c'mon september 5th.
[spoiler:5e7c8ea677]I don't think the finale was improbable, it was all in House's head on the way to the ER, his mind playing scenarios of how his body will be repaired from the bullet. His subconscious awakened, showing all of his fantasies(punching his best friend in the face, stripping Cameron, medically molesting Cuttey, etc.). We really got to see the deepest part of House's mind, and his ultimate decision in the end was influenced by that complete mindfuck of an episode.[/spoiler:5e7c8ea677]

[spoiler:955cb741aa]And that is why it was a wonderful, wonderful episode. It worked nicely with the finale from season 1 in that it gave us deeper insight into House as a character/person. I hope they continue this trend.[/spoiler:955cb741aa]
You guys know Hugh Laurie is British, and did Shakespearean comedies before this?
He is such a great actor.
He did an impression of an American doing an impression of a British voice.
That is talent.
Also Omar Epps does deserve an award for Euphoria.
He actually looked crazy and sick and dieing.
I love House and can't wait for the next season.
I of course, am praying Fox won't cancel or do something awful to it.

I hate that you beat me to saying that. Awesome show - my love of it is why I tried out watching House. Now I have a recording of every House episode. Come on, September 5th.
DirecTV had better unfuck my HDTV reception by the 5th, or there will be consequences.
Consequences.

Hey, consider yourself lucky you get Fox in HD at all. It seems like I get every HD channel but Fox, CBS and ABC. You know, some of the most important channels. They only carry stuff like football, Lost, CSI.....
But ya, House rocks the umm...house. I have a huge hard-on for Cameron. She's even hotter since she's Jim Morrison's neice.
Euphoria was really awesome, but I'd still say my favorite episode was the three cases one, where he was giving the speech to the students or whatever.
This seems to be against the general opinion round these parts, but for me the second half (approximately) of season two just seemed a lot less house'ey to me. The best words I can put it into is the difference between "very clever asshole" House and "not quite as clever asshole with a heaping cup of dark and brooding" House.
You should all check out the four series of sketch shows he did with Stephen Fry: A Bit Of Fry & Laurie. Hugh Laurie plays piano, Stephen Fry mixes cocktails and punches his colleague in the face on an alarmingly regular basis. Other things happen as well.
The new season of House premieres on my birthday. I couldn't possibly ask for a better gift than that. Especially since 17 is sort of a sucky birthday anyway.
Anyway, I can't wait for the Season 2 DVD to be out, so I can clear out my DVR already. Of course, it's just going to get space-fucked again by the new season, but eh. It's worth it for the sexiness and great acting that is Hugh Laurie and friends. Also, I just want to see what the hell happens to House!

I think of that every time House plays the piano.
I don't know if my favourite song of his is the one that consists of yelling out 'Where is the Lid?', until Stephen walks on, shows him the lid, and then punches him, or the soft rock one that consists solely of the words 'America' and 'The States', also ended by a fist in the mush.

I wonder, does anyone else think an Eric/Cameron romance is budding? I mean, sheesh, they seem like more than friends sometimes, especially in Euphoria.

Black Adder = Best Thing Ever
Also, I have kind of a crush on Hugh Laurie and am vaguely disturbed by that.
Another reason I love this show is that it's so nice to see Robert Sean Leonard on TV regularly. I've loved that guy since Dead Poet's Society.
