Did anybody see the Newcastle vs. Portsmouth game? It was basically both teams giving up possession, over and over and over again. Sloppy football.

So yeah, I've been away for the weekend. I haven't had a chance to get back into my Millwall save and I probably won't for a while longer, in case someone was waiting for it.

That aside, I wish I could watch the World Club Cup. I wanted to see Pachuca tear up Al Alhy a new one.

Good. I was against getting Keane from the start. I hate how Tottenham lost its two best players, and Keane didn't even perform too well with 'pool anyways.

    And Eduardo, oohh yeeeeeaaaaah.

    Hey look, a double post.

So the Christiano Ronaldo to Reál Madrid rumors are still going strong, this time it's been leaked that Reál has made a deal with Ronaldo that will be signed this summer, but they cannot publicly announce the deal yet.

    http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=603172&sec=england&cc=5901

You guys think this is legit? I hope so, except then it would probably reduce the playing time of Wesley Sneijder. Maybe he would get transferred...? That would be sweet, I love that guy.

Adelaide up 1-0 over Al Ahly at half time. Adelaide's goal a fantastic shot from range by Cristiano. Adelaide by far the better team for the first 10-15 minutes. Then they realised they weren't torturing me enough and proceeded to let Al Ahly back into the game and play like shit.

So the draw for the Champions League second round was made this morning:

    Chelsea v Juventus
    Villarreal v Panathinaikos
    Sporting Lisbon v Bayern Munich
    Atletico Madrid v FC Porto
    Lyon v Barcelona
    Real Madrid v Liverpool
    Arsenal v Roma
    Inter Milan v Manchester United

    Some very interesting ties there.

I can see Roma beating Arsenal, and Inter have a decent chance against Utd.
Chelsea should beat Juve, and I think Liverpool are too strong for Madrid the way they are playing right now.
Lyon v Barca & Atletico v Porto look pretty tasty as well.

Bold is who I think will win it, and some comments...

    Chelsea v Juventus

Juventus had the best record in the group stages, so they could pull this one out. However, I think that Chelsea will have themselves sorted out by then and should just squeak through.

    Villarreal v Panathinaikos

This one could go either way, but I like what I am seeing from Pana.

    Sporting Lisbon v Bayern Munich

Bayern are too good for Sporting, way too good.

    Atletico Madrid v FC Porto

Porto are a good squad, but just not as consistent as Atletico... see the results versus Arsenal.

    Lyon v Barcelona

This will be a slaughter, I see the aggregate goal difference being at least +5 for Barca.

    Real Madrid v Liverpool

This is a close one, but I give it to Real because I think Liverpool will be more focused on winning the league. Despite Ramos' record at Spurs, he's a quality manager who is more than capable of winning cups (see Sevilla)... he'll make that team gel by the time they go to face Liverpool.

    Arsenal v Roma

I'm going to get panned and called biased for this pick, but I think it's accurate. Arsenal have performed better in the CL than in the league, and I don't think Roma are quite good enough to go through against them.

    Inter Milan v Manchester United

Man U are missing something, and Inter are a scary team. It's not going to be a run away victory, but Inter are going to win this one.

Realistically, I think an Inter v Barca final is in the cards and would be awesome. As an Arsenal fan I want them through to the final to meet Barca, but I don't see it happening.

    What he says.

You guys should concentrate on not losing to Liverpool on Sunday before thinking so far off into the future for now. This will be the only time I'll be backing arsenal not to lose for quite some time now, so good luck.

Ranieri returning to the bridge should be fun, was personally expecting Barca myself but Juventus was my second preference.

Ok so I'm afraid the latest FM 09 patch has fucked up my Millwall game. I've lost the last 4 games by more than 3 goals each and I've restarted the save numerous times and it looks like I can't win anymore. I've checked a few of my other saves and it's the same thing.

EDIT: Oh everything is fucked. There are two Harry Redknapps. We're all doomed!

Yeah, I think I did, too. I'm not going to check yet, though, because then I will see all of the scores, and I want to watch highlights with suspense.

:( I'm really getting attached to Hull this season. They're so unexpectedly great.
