I'm up for a silver/bronze, iron, or horror setting.
Probably by IRC, using Slashnet (that also hosts paforums_g&t chatroom). OpenRPG is still little too unstable, and I'm not honestly that comfortable using Skype. GameBoard would also cool application, but for some reason, it doesn't allow me to connect other players or host server.
Because if it doesnt, using google spreadsheets might be an interesting option.
Yeah, you can get dice bot for IRC. Google Spreadsheets actually sounds interesting, but I don't even have account in Google. Or know how to use Google Spreadsheets.

Great. I created Gmail account using Goumindong's invite. I gotta go now to sleep, but here is something to you guys to think. After looking all votes, it looks like our campaign is either Global or Horror. But which one? I have some good ideas for both styles, so that isn't problem.
Plus I'd like to hear what comics you guys mainly follow. This is important because I have as GM tendency to rip quite blatantly plots from my favorite comics.
I only really read collections, and nothing mainstream, so you are clear by me.

I, uhh, have general knowledge of just about every comic series in existance. (Sometimes I post in Graphic Violence). Don't worry about it, I'll enjoy whatever.

Global. Like someone said early in the thread, I'd play Vampire if I wanted horror with my superheroes.
And any thing you come up with will be fine by me.
I read the occasional TPB and non-superhero series. The only comics I ever read faithfully were eXiles (for the first sixty or so issues) and Deadpool.
If it's still indecisive, I'll just cast my line in with Global. I think it'd be more likely everyone could enjoy that.
Now is time to start to create characters. Like I said before, you have four different ways to deal with your character:
A) We do character together, probably in IRC or using Google Spreadsheets You can use template as a base for your character
C) You can describe me what kind character you want and I will create it
D) If you actually know M&M 2nd ed rules, you can do character on your own. PL for the campaign will be 10.
I'm still working with setting, but I should be ready by tomorrow.
I started to fool around with Google Spreadsheets using grid map that Goumindong gave me and created nice little forest road for simple battles. We could do some fast n' furious demo fights on that map using templates as characters.
For our team, are we going to be making characters that each go into a particular hero archetype or are we free to choose how are characters are made?
Also, should we make our characters group oriented or individual oriented? There might be a problem if our group is just a mish mash of character concepts as opposed to a tightly formed team.

I will be having to bow out though, but if you need any help with using the spreadsheets, or chatting while using the spreadsheets, let me know.
I decided yesterday that four players would be cap for campaign because there are way too many guys asking to be fifth player, and it would be unfair if I would choose only one.
But... I got this bizarre (brilliant? stupid?) idea just 30 mins ago. If there is enough interested players, I can run second campaign where player characters are VILLAINS. Both campaigns would be run at same time and intertwine with each other. Campaign would end with showdown between both teams. How this sounds?

You are free to choose how you do your characters. All four alternatives are available. I just offered templates as a choice, because it is quite possible that someone just wants to play Flash / Superman / Green Lantern wannabe.
Also, should we make our characters group oriented or individual oriented? There might be a problem if our group is just a mish mash of character concepts as opposed to a tightly formed team.
Well, Avengers and JLA are mish mash of character concepts, so that isn't that big problem.
"I'm big green monster"
"I'm nordic god of thunder"
"I'm guy who can adjust his size"
"I'm guy that uses advanced battlesuit"
How consistant and logical Avengers line-up sounds? Not really that much.
i have no earthly idea how to make that work on a mac. if i COULD make it work, i'd be down for villany.
There are many different IRC clients* for Mac, so that isn't problem. I don't know that much about Mac that I could name any clients, but they are there. So you are welcome.
ok, i think i'm all set up. all i need now is a character and the information about what server/network/channel we're doing this on.
I sent PM character stuff to you already. I think that we are going to use Slashnet as a network, because it has already PA's own official channels. I'm also hanging there, so you can come and chat with me at #paforums_g&t .
Could we have a roster on who's playing, and if their characters are complete?
mine's almost done. all i have to do is edit his skills and give him a name.

Go ahead and quote this and add yourselves guys. Format should be forumer, character name, character powers (if you feel comfortable giving them out, unless elk wants us to keep them secret so the heroes and villains are surprised when they meet). Heroes:
Kayne Red Robe: Unknown, Unknown Villains:

Fix'd.
How would we be doing the game though?

You can allow editing of the spreadsheets by all, and then just load new sheets for different encounters.
It also includes google chat on the side...
Yeah, you can get dice bot for IRC. Google Spreadsheets actually sounds interesting, but I don't even have account in Google. Or know how to use Google Spreadsheets.
PM me your email address and ill show you.
PM'd.
EDIT: Did you get my email? PA-forums seem to be little unstable today.
yes

EDIT: Added option of using Spreadsheets

What does everyone think?

Okay. But thanks for help.
If you got room for 1 more, I got the Core Book + a couple other supplements, and I could probably have a completed character by... Sunday or so?
* Powerslave, Al Baron, Kayne Red Robe, Trenog
I thought that Goumindong dropping would free up a slot, not remove it.

Need any PC Villans?
Yeah, that's the plan. I have already dropped message to TheOtherHorseman and 404 is also welcome.
i have no earthly idea how to make that work on a mac. if i COULD make it work, i'd be down for villany.
Great. You have same options for character creation as good guys. PL is also same.
There are many different IRC clients* for Mac, so that isn't problem. I don't know that much about Mac that I could name any clients, but they are there. So you are welcome.
now i'm hunting around for a good freeware client.
second try, macirssi, lacks any GUI support. useless.
and with Xchat Aqua, i think i found a winner.
