Classic Gaming Room?

Does anyone know if there will be a classic gaming room this year at PAX? Turns out there was one last year (I saw it, even! But I mistook it as being something else), and I didn't find out about it until after the fact. Needless to say, I was disappointed.

But not this year! Hell, I'll even volunteer to bring a few things from my modest collection.

Anyone have any idea if there's going to be one? If not I'll start one. Who do I talk to? :)

TIA

I'm getting Activision Anthology Remix for the Mac off of Goozex as we speak. So this will be high up on my to-do list. Next to playing new games and feeling up the lead singer of Freezepop.

Yeah, I don't know. I believe it was a local club that hosted it last year. I spent a decent amount of time playing the original SSB there last year.

SSB qualifies as a classic game? That makes me feel old.

Would Dreamcast fall under the classic games umbrella? If so then I'm there.

Yeah, pretty much everything that was in the "classic" room was N64 and older if I remember right, so SSB was in it. Whoever that was that sponsored that room had an awesome collection of games though; they are my heroes.

There was a LaserActive Megadrive there. THAT was something I did not expect to see.

All I know is if I don't see a 3DO and a copy of Twisted: The Game Show there, I'm going to be pissed.

I've been having such an urge to play that lately... one of the best party games ever.

I daresay yes, but it's purely a next-gen wonder that blows our minds in this particular segment of the classical vacuum.

I'd love to take part in this activity.

So I just ordered a new Dreamcast to replace my somewhat broken one. I'm going to try to get celebrity signatures on it at PAX. I will likely lend it for use in the classic gaming room as well.

So no one knows for sure, eh?

Should I just harass Khoo about it?

I'm really interested and I have a ton of fairly rare/uncommon things I could bring (like a complete 64DD set)...

I just came into possession of 2 working Dreamcasts. Too bad otherwise I could have hooked you up with one.

I'm just glad I was enough of a tool to buy a second Dreamcast when they dropped to $80. They're both still in great shape.

I could bring my ZX Spectrum 48k and have it running Manic Miner or even Elite. Then again I doubt it would survive the plane journey...

I've got my dreamcast locked away in a basement somewhere... I really should break it out again.

Get a Donkey Kong cabinet and invite Steve Wiebe to try and break the world record again. He's local, I'd bet he came if Twin Galaxies did too. It would also draw a crap-load of attention.

(sorry, I just saw the documentary and found it insanely interesting)

Also, Bill Mitchell is a ^@$#@$&@*%;!(!)%(@*!)^*!^$#^*(@^

If anyone is not familiar, this is the movie I'm talking about: http://www.billyvssteve.com/

There was on last year in the console freeplay area. It should be there again this year.

Then he shall henceforth be referred to as Shitcock.

Edit: HOLY SHIT REDHALO! I just noticed your awesome anime comic strip that is one of my FAVORITE Mitch Hedberg skits. R.I.P. You get 1000000000000 cool points today. They are redeemable for stuff like Stormwind rep.
