Source Crashing

So, brand new installation of XP on my machine. Latest video drivers, directX, service packs, windows updates, and sound drivers. Whole nine yards. Unfortunately, I'm getting the infamous sound looping crash. At first this only happened after TF2, right before I joined a server, the whole sending client info to server part. After turning off HDR and lowering the resolution and graphics to a minimum and using -dxlevel 8 and 81, I can get into the game. Both times it crashed after pressing tab to view the scores. Meanwhile, TF used to run before reinstalling XP.

I've also tried -nosound and increasing the page pool memory via a regedit change. Neither seemed to do anything.

Anyone have other ideas? :-/

E: This is fixed, rolled back Catalyst drivers.
