I have some parts for finishing beds, I'll try to add them tonight.
There are currently three in the barracks, and one unfinished that I believe only needs 2 sheets to finish. If we can finish the fourth, that will probably be enough in the barracks for now.

MR Home will have an ore cap. I still think that living on a home server is cuddly compared to the wild and that is why home is limited. I may remove it when/if I open home servers for raiding from wild. I think it would make the game a whole lot more interesting but it is still open for discussion. Nothing will happen until the start of September at any rate but when you decide where to settle you should be aware that I want to discuss it soon.

I have to share my wonderful newbie story!
I have enjoyed my first few days of Wurm immensely (my first ever online game was Trade Wars in 1990) although the learning curve is quite treacherous at times. Thanks to Caerus for suggesting the game, as Ikariam was starting to slow down.
I was trying to get some cooking levels so that I could roam the server a bit without the hunger issue. I figured out the bowl and the ingredients, but was banging my head on the actual cooking part. I could not figure out how to keep the fire going long enough to cook...
I ended up lighting a line of fires down the beach and moving the bowl as each fire burned down. At one time I had 11 fires lined up in a row and was walking my casserole from one to the next, hoping that I could get it hot enough to cook. Then somehow I ended up with an active log and found the "burn" option. o_O
My hot cooking is still under 2, but my fire making skill is off the charts!
Hm... I've been making Planks and the like constantly, but my carpentry skill will not go up.
Does it take awhile? Or am I doing something wrong?
Making planks raises carpentry slowly at any skill level.
Using those planks makes it go up very quickly. Improving the things you make makes it go up even faster.

Yeah, assuming those planks aren't very high quality, you're better off finding some low quality walls that need repairing and work on repairing/imping them. You'll get much faster carpentry gains.

I leveled my carpentry fast by building a house. Find someone who is working on their house and offer your help; putting up those walls raises your skill damn fast.
Anyone notice how some things (mattresses and the copy machines in Highrise) are totally impenetrable? A steel wall, yeah that makes sense, but bullets should obliterate copy machines.
I don't know about you, but I always buy a bullet proof printer. Its a lot more expensive, but I think the advantages are apparent.

[12:15:07] It is 06:20:15 on Luck day in week 1 of the Bear's starfall in the year of 990.
[12:15:07] The homestead of New Arcadia has just been founded by Alphadraconis.
Apparently he is "near the south coast" because he headed south from Aegis for an hour, and he named it after the Greek city.
Thanks, but I've been through that. This forum thread also attempts to solve the problem, but if you scroll down a bit you'll see people who it doesn't fix it for. I have the same error logs as those people. Someone said something about "always allow software from this company to run" or something, but I don't know how to activate that.

I could deal with the repulsive interface and constant 5 frames per second, but after wandering around for 30 minutes trying to find a tree for the starting quest that isn't walled off, I think I'm going to have to give this up.

Though question. Is Wild east or west of Home?
Wild is west of JK home. Wild is east of MR Home.
