I just got my plane tickets to Seattle a little over a week ago, and it's official. I'm going to PAX! To get a better feel for this convention, I have been wandering the forums, and this looks like a good place to start!
This is me...on a good day :P. The picture is a little old (1.5 years), but I haven't really changed, just my hair is slightly longer.
This is a great way to get a feel for PAX. The people here are fun and interesting. Hope you have lots of fun at PAX.
I am going with about eight other people to this convention, a couple of them I never met before! Also, I'm meeting my cousins from LA there (I'm from Chicago). I hope I'll have a blast!

Wow, your wedding dress is gorgeous! It looked like a nice sunny day too. I wish I could make it to the dinner but my flight doesn't come in untl 10:20PM that night .
I'm on the right, and on the left is a poster of Everquest II. Oh yeah, and my fiance This will be our first PAX! (Let alone our first vacation not visiting parents). Yay!!!

That's so sweet of you! It was really a great find because ElectricTurtle and I got married on a budget thinner than a shoestring (we'd just had a baby). So, I went to the outlet malls in Bumfuckitsville, WA and found this dress burried under the tons of other crap that you couldn't pay me to wear. Fortunately it fit and the price was right. :P It featured a corset-backed lace up bodice with a hookable bustle in the small of the back. It fit like a glove and laced up nice and tight. Unfortunately, while lacing it, my best friend cut her finger, and the back of the dress got a little bloody ^_^. Here are some better pictures of the back and a cool action shot! I'm sorry you won't be able to make the Pre-PAX 2008 dinner . I hope I get to see you at PAX though! (sorry, linked for resize)

Well i promised a yahtzee look alike and...well this the best i could do on short notice. :P Finding a hat was a royal pain but i found a nice Fedora at Target that's similar to yahtzee's.
Do excuse my cell phone bathroom shots, my camera is busted and no one is home right now to snap a pic.
And to jump on the classy bandwagon, this is what i usually have to wear to work (if im in the office that is, management is supposed to dress the part if we have to be in office per dumb policy).

He came to Seattle to visit Valve after giving the first positive review he's ever done (for Portal). He played Left 4 Dead with Tycho and some other dudes. It was the first time he had ever been to Seattle (maybe I remember it being his first trip to America in general). Don't think he's been back since.

As much as I like him, and think he's hilarious, I don't think he would be a good KEYNOTE speaker. Probably a better standup comedian. And he won't talk that fast unless reading from a script. I've heard he talks JUST faster than normal when he isn't staring at a piece of paper.
I'd rather the Keynote speaker be somebody that works in the game industry. Or Will again.
