Hi,

I'm about to get an iPod touch, and I'm wondering how long/how many times I should do the 'drain battery completely and then recharge completely' thing. You know how that's supposed to increase battery life?

Cheers.

You shouldn't. At all. It can actually damage it.

    Drain it, but not completely.

At least that's what I hear.

Yeah, you don't want to do that. Its not a Nickle metal hydride battery.

yea, actually li-ion batterys like having as much charge as possible as much of the time as possible. unless you're storing it for like 6 months, in which case you should leave it with about 50% charge.

Precisely 0 times. Doing a complete drain has a significant chance of decreasing the battery life.

The "drain all the way" thing is only for nickel-cadmium batteries, which are used in like nothing anymore.
