I would totally be down for level 80 Deadmines though.

Even better would be a level 80 SFK.

RFD gets little love, although I really appreciate that instance. It has several unique events, interesting nonstatic spawns. To bad it's right in the middle of bumfuck, Nowhereland and you have to spend 15mins to clear a path to the door.

So my GM went all emo when blizz accused him of paying to have a char lvl'd and disbanded our guild denouncing this horrible game. So now, I am guildless and it sucks, because it made daily heroic so much easier, plus we just going to start ssc/tk. Man, any alli on Hyjal need a shad priest?

Your GM didn't go emo, he has anger management issues. What a champ, taking it out on the wrong people.

Oh god, so happy. Shattered Halls was the heroic, and a t6 bear tank friend of mine dragged me through it as prot. 5 quests completed in one run and we had 32 mins left on the timer, and now I just need Heroic SP and Bagtheridon to get my title. Plus, I got an obscene amount of badges from that run (10 or something like that) so I'm now only 20 badges away from new tanking pants. Gief Kara.

Or at least quests that don't require runs in instances that nobody runs anymore. I got lucky and had help from level 70 guildies when I was levelling my paladin (and it only required 2 pulls into the back door in strat). I can't imagine how it is for warlocks (and alliance paladins).

The Warlock one was fun back when people actually ran Scholo and Dire Maul. Now it's a giant pain in the ass to get people together to run those things, and it's silly to retain the requirement at this point. Just make it trainable and be done with it, or write a new quest that doesn't require travelling to old, dead insteances. But the former's so much easier to implement than the latter, I'd imagine that's the route Blizzard will take if they take any action at all.

what they need to do, and I don't understand why they haven't, is just up the loot for these fucking vanilla WoW isntances.

People are running Hellfire at 58 and getting mad blues, why should DM West, Scholo, and UBRS have garbage loot?

I'm pretty sure the "so they are forced to buy the expansion" card has pretty much been played out.

Simply put, they can't be arsed to go through the long list of already existing content and alter it. I mean, they did manage to make some improvements to Azeroth thank God (Dustwallow is actually usable). Could be better.

Pretty much what I have been doing, I will use pounce if I want to avoid damage for a couple of seconds, but quite often I am just running from mob to mob mangling away.

Depends on how much effort you need to put out to kill them. If you're just steamrolling same level or lower mobs, FFF pull them to you and start mangling. If you actually need to make an effort to kill them, start in stealth, then Pounce->FFF and run behind them->Mangle->Shred (at this point they drop out of stun)->Mangle to 5 CP->Ferocious Bite. If you somehow chain up OoC and Primal Fury procs to have more than 75 energy when you hit 5 CP, just toss out another Mangle before firing off the FB so you don't waste so much energy.

Played some Warsong Gulch last night for the first time in ages, did so on my Warlock, my non twinked Warlock. You can expect how well that went. However I did make sure to piss off the rogues quite a bit by dotting most of them, for the last two matches I played I often had at least one rogue chasing me as I kept dotting him over and over again. It was a bit funny.

That made me decide to check out how much honor my old rogue had, only around 15 K, I’m sure I lost a great deal thanks to not PVPing way back when you had to PVP constantly or else it’d decrease, or maybe I’m thinking of something else. AV is the only BG that he’s fully exalted with.

Also I don’t know why I did but I bought some nutty gear to help out my rogue in the future that put a dent into my cash. Why did I do that....been sitting on the money for a long time so why not, might as well try to enjoy what I do have now.

A bit dismayed that many of the people I use to know on the server is gone, gets rather lonely just running around doing things and not seeing what people are talking/joking around about.

I know how that's like. I transferred away from a deathly low server population (The Forgotten Coast) and came onto the Bleeding Hollow. A few guilds I applied to wouldn't accept me cause I was a transferee and I couldn't find anyone to arena with so I just said fuck it and went back to a different character on a different server.

I hadn't played that character for a year so it was hard to get back in but thanks to some old connections I found a good place.

Yeah, but again, some things could be better. In TBC content, all the quest rewards make sense to some class, some build, somewhere. But in pre-TBC content there's still quest rewards for some of the more involved quests that are like a piece of mail armor with a lot of +spirit and nothing else. Or leather armor with +spirit and +strength. What I'm saying in a nutshell is that it isn't as optimal.

A ton of my Warrior's Naxx gear lasted till 70. It was quickly replaced with dungeon blues for the most part, but it was way better than quest rewards.

The only things you can really expect to get replaced are weapons (specifically melee ones) because their DPS is based on ilvl and regardless of their stat distribution, when a weapon has 3-4 more DPS than your current, replacing it will probably be a good idea.

My mage still had 3 or 4 pieces of Netherwind at 70, which surprised me when I got my character restored a few weeks ago. I thought I had replaced most of it. I've replaced some of it since then.

Well, this time around, a weapon with as much DPS as the Warglaives can be obtained as early as level 76. It looks like the jump in gear is going to be even more pronounced this time around.
