Unhappy: All the Scryer effects on the necklaces suck so bad.
My warlock and night elf rogue are exalted as well I don't want to buy the necklaces for any because they look bad compared to what they have right now

Actually, I take that back. The proc on the tanking neck is really neat, and the proc on the melee neck seems to be affected by your melee critical strike chance, so while they're not as good as the Aldor procs, they're pretty nice regardless.
Slightly annoyed: The mats for one point in tailoring (currently at 363) are: 108 netherweave + 12 arcane dust +2 netherweb spider silk.
At least the robes disenchant into large prismatic shards, so if I buy the cloth I can break even by farming the silk..

You can farm that much pretty quickly off of the Demon Hunter Supplicants by BT.

Hate: I've been trying to get the tanking chest from the second boss of Mechanar for my Paladin for ages, and the bloody thing has never dropped. And what happens when I run Mechanar on my Druid? It drops. Twice in a row.
The best cloth farm is by far the Legion Hold warlocks. Those things die fast and drop tons of gold, but even better they respawn like lightning too. One elite to dodge, who walks a slow (~3-4 mins) circle.
Also great for farming aldor rep / gold. Warlocks and shadowpriest do best due to multidotting. A bit of shadowres gear makes them even more laughable. If you have an epic mount, selling stuff at Skettis is very fast.
Hate: Can't even turn in two quests in STV because Nessings is camped forever.
Amused: I always forget just how bad STV is and curse myself for going there on all of my alts.
Today I logged on a level 34 warlock I had abandoned on Magtheridon. I logged on in the middle of Nessingwarys camp and died before everything had loaded up. Ran back, died upon ressing. Thought "screw this" and spirit ressed
There was a rogue waiting right there : (
So I just logged off again, I don't mind the dying but that takes it a bit far for me : b
I remember back when the exp bar didn't disappear at max level we had contests with who could hit level 60 the closest, since the extra exp you hit 60 with overflowed into the bar and sat there forever. A couple guys planned it out so they could use discovery experience to hit 60 exactly.

I always wondered why the hell people bothered griefing there. Don't they have better things to do like instances, leveling professions, sucking a dick?

What's funny is I finally turned in my quests after some Alliance 70's showed up and kept the Horde busy. Took off to Southshore, only did a couple quests because the town was being raided. Headed off to Desolace, as I was getting ready to turn in my quests, a Warrior in PvP epics came in and cleared out all the quest givers/etc.

I'm running out of places to level.
Who in the fuck attacks Desolace? Nobody is ever there.

Moments like this I miss STV. Although I wasn't ever a GY camper. We did used to play tricks on people though - we'd find a likely target - leave a likely escape route - then charge over the hill at him. He'd then either run or fight, if he ran he met the third member of the group - suitably far away, enough to give the guy a little hope
I also hate that I'm wearing the stupid level 66 blue quest tank shoulder things and I lost the t4 shoulders to a rogue with epix in that slot.
That's weird. I always thought it was common for guilds/ raids to gear up the tanks first with tier armor?
For progression guilds, yes. Karazhan drops 1.5 years later? Not so much.
That said, what were the shoulders? "epix" doesn't mean much. T4? Bladed shoulders from the chess chest? T2?
It would be especially fucked up if a rogue rolled against me for t4 shoulders if she was wearing t4 shoulders
I don't know the first thing about rogue gear, I just know it was purple and mine weren't
And this is a guild that relies on conscripting tanks from other guilds to tank their 25 man raids (also why I am pretty sure I am going to have to find a different guild)

I'd like to ask whether or not someone has any advice about the post I made last page? I just don't think I can put the whole 'leaving for another guild' thing to my guild leader without sounding like a douche.

Just say you're wanting to progress further, and that this desire conflicts with what seems to be the majority of the guild (you can point out that 5 people signed up for a 25man), so you wish them well, and farewell.
just say "i'm leaving for another guild, it was fun, later dudes"

and try to do it fairly late at night to minimise the amount of whispers you get, whether they say "why are you leaving?" or "sorry to see you go man" because in either case they expect a response and if you get five whispers thats annoying and time-consuming

You could do it like one guy in my old guild did. And take everything valuable out of the guild bank first. Nobody really bothered to talk to him after that, except a few officers who were promptly put on ignore. If you're looking to avoid conversations, that seems to be a winning strat. Of course, you'll be known as a huge fucking asshole for the rest of your time in WoW. (Unless you do what he did again after, and transfer servers/name change)

Happy: Sunwell trash pugs are both fun and profitable. Last night in 12 pulls we had 4 epic drops, 8 motes and 13 gems drop.
Happier: Roped some friends to take my little 67 mage into Durnholde to complete that annoying BM quest. Finished it it about 25 mins and ended up beating a partially geared S2 warrior on DPS. Gogo mage dps.
Very happy: Fun, long close AV games that we win. Wound up winning an hour plus game by 17 resources, no DB towers down, no FW towers down just good back and forth all over the map all game. We were down by about 55 to 65, changed our strat and outplayed them the rest of the way.
Happy: Lazy Sundays, the kind where you can wake up early in the afternoon, lounge around for a couple hours, take a nap, and wake up Monday morning.
Also Happy: Farmed the spellpower to bracer enchant a second time. I guess I'll have to find something else to mindlessly grind when I want to restock my cloth supplies.

Speaking as a guy, who for reasons unknown, is the gm of a small social guild, I've had a fair few people leave.
A simple "I've really enjoyed my time in the guild, but I'm going to apply to another guild, because I'd like to try see more of the game" is good enough.
The little guild I'm in, has lost tanks / healers / dps to raiding guilds, and as a gm, you can't be annoyed at people wanting to see more end-game content. I'm well aware that I'm only ever likely to see Kaz / ZA, I'm not going to get angry at someone wanting to try 25 man raiding, because it's something my guild just won't be able to do.
Anyway happy; been away on holidays for a week, and despite having won 7 games prior to leaving, I still didn't have the pet. My battlegroup has horde which don't try to win AV, because that would ruin the precious honor/min ratio. AB was the double honor weekend, which meant all the farmers would be in there, which left WSG and EotS.
So, WSG it was, and proceeded to have 5 pretty fun games. 3 over in 15 mins, which came as a surprise because both sides had pretty even gear. 1 game the alliance turtled with a warrior on 25k health with 3 healers. Usually when that happens, I grit my teeth and wait for people to yell "let them win", but it didn't happen. My fellow horde team mates got their heads down and killed said warrior with a bit of effort, after which I imagine we broke the alliance spirit and their healers afk'd out.
Happy in that the games were tight, and I didn't come across the "let them win, so I can get into another bg" brigade.

I sold one for 650g to a guildie (So it was at a decent discount) 150g for that is..... weak to say the least.

Ridiculous: I started looking at my Cooking and Fishing skills, thinking i should level them up...
Relieved: 'Fuck that!' Guess i'm not quite as OCD as i thought.
So i went into Outland for the first time in this char. Did a few quests, then realised...
Sad: Seems i've burnt myself out a little getting my professions to 300. So i'll be taking a few days/a week off.
And greedy flakes not using a Buyout price in the AH.
Happy: Outland is close.

Just for fun, I dug up Jim's goodbye thread from our guild forums.

Right to the point.
haha if i remember that thread had some pretty tastey drama P:
Happy: Got SR gear crafted mid raid and went on to upgrade from T2 chest and shoulders to T6.
Hope: That I get to go Sunwell raid on Tuesday as the Kalecgos encounter looks fun.
