We're officially starting a tradition this year

Buca Di Beppo

They do family style italian food, which means the portions are fucking gigantic and you're meant to share you fat fuck. Also it means the cost per person should be low for you poor people. See? Everybody's happy.

You have until August 14 to put your name in, four weeks

put !beppo somewhere in your post if you intend on going

The dinner will be held on August 28th, which is a Thursday, at 8PM.

the food is formidable, if not incredibly domesticated. They do have some great authentic italian though.

    booze is crazy expensive, though.

last year, we ended up getting everyone on one large check, and each table was responsible for contributing their share, plus tip. Since the portions are usually shared, it worked out well, and everyone was very responsible and made sure we were well covered. I'd recommend doing the same this year, as splitting the check up for this large a party is a pain in the ass.

oh I never even entertained the notion of splitting the check

planning these types of functions is a big portion of my job, so I know what is more convenient for both the customers and the employees.

Meals and sodas are going to be on one check, which I will handle and collect money from everyone. Anyone that wants liquor can get their own tab going.
