Pigging cystitus

Oh, I've forgotten just how bad this can be - I've been awake since 2:30 am (now 4:30 am) peeing every 5-10 mins, in agony. The chemist (pharmacy) doesn't open til 10:00 am, cos its Sunday, I'm doing the tsp of bicarbonate of soda in jam (jelly) every half hour, and drinking gallons of hot ribena. Any suggestions what else I can do til I can buy stuff at the chemists? Please!!!

    No painkillers in the house? May as well just go straight to the ER if its like that, you don't want the infection spreading to your kidneys (that can happen fast), and you'll get some proper pain meds.

    yeah, taken paracetamol, waiting to see if it works. If that doesn't, I've got way stronger stuff to try. Not going to ER - full of drunks/druggies/fight participants, and would have to wait for hours, chemist would be open before I got seen D:

    I've forgotten just how horrid this can be - had it regularly in my teens/early 20's, but not for years now - had kidney x-rays in my mid 20's cos I had it so often.

    Do you drink regular cranberry juice? I heard it works wonders, even if you're not suffering.
    Try fitting some into your diet somewhere [if you can stand the taste, personally I hate it.]

    Well, finally went to out of hour clinic, cos I'm peeing blood (OK, sorry, maybe too much information!) - now on antibiotics (hello, thrush) (again, too much information, I know, but hey) more painkillers, running a temp. Ho hum.
