Using 360 HD DVD Player as a Disc Drive for PC?

My dad's disk drives are busted, and I was told I could use my 36o's hd-dvd player as a temporary replacement. But after plugging it in, it can't identify it for what it is. No driver is downloaded, and the computer just calles it "Unlnown Device" under Device Manager.
I'm on XP, and my Zune connects just fine through the same USB ports.

    I believe it only works in vista.

    no it works in XP.

    you need this driver for it, but I forget what it's called

    just google around you'll get it soon enough


    then again, im not sure it can be used for dvds?

    I can't imagine why it wouldn't work with DVDs..
