I just got the 2009 Mazda 6 presser in my email the other day. I'll be getting one of those with my tax return next year. I currently drive a 2006 Mazdaspeed6
I have located one of these in black for an even 10K. I am very tempted.
Decently low miles too.
Tempting, indeed.
I loved my '04 sedan. Until I got sideways on a wet curve and killed it dead. (side note: airbags- not as soft & fluffy as you might think)
Now i got the PT cruiser, compared with the Focus it is not quite as exciting. But the Mrs ElQuack loves it and I can fit a lot of stuff in there with the removeable seats. I also have a bit more room for my long legs. I just wish it had a bit more grunt sometimes. Comfortable, but I miss the handling of the Focus.
Almost all of my friends are hippies, and 2 of them own cars.
To make up for them being eco friendly, I drive a 2004 F150 5.4L V8.
And offer them rides all the time.
I am however aware of its effect on the environment, and only drive it during the summer when they cut out the bus line that would ordinarily take me to school and work.

I have a normal 04 ZX5 focus right now and I love it to death. I always wanted an SVT though. It has almost the same mileage as my current focus, so basically I'd be just trading for a year older car with more grunt and fun. The price is even right where it should be, maybe even less that what I would expect. All in all it is DAMN tempting. The dealer for it is a bit out of town,so I'm going to see if I can get out there at some point this week.

Does that count? Cause...really...for 110mpg and living in a small city, this seems like a pretty easy choice.
no
no.... bad ziplock!
you'll buy one of these and you will like it.
Aw C'mon Stale, you know the only good Harley is an FXDWG... Or a V2 Engineering Super(as in charged) V-Rod.
Or he could get one of these...

Chris, that is an ugly bike. Really it is.
That exhaust, the intakes, way too much.

I don't really care what bikes look like, I care about how powerful they are. What's the point of buying a bike to go slow on? That thing puts out more power than my 2.0 litre turbo car...

Uuh, going fast isn't something you can do quite as often as looking good. I am sure you can find a much better looking bike with very similar specifications.
That thing looks like a badly designed toy.

I go fast on race tracks, not the road... I like bikes for straight line speed, and cars for swooping around corners at a stupid rate, quite often backwards into a sandtrap...
Edit: TBH, probably, if I wanted to ride a Ducatii. But they are terribly uncomfortable to cruise around on, and blindingly expensive.

So them, considering the point of that conversation was for a ROAD BIKE. You made a pretty bad suggestion then.

What is so bad about a bike that is comfy, stable and easy to ride, with more than enough performance to keep you well away from the pack of cars which are all trying to kill you?
2.0l, 150bhp petrol engine which Fari says is slower than the diesel, but eh. No unnecessary bullcrap, either. I don't even have satnav. Just straight up driving.
Then by 2012 maybe Alfa might get around to building a bigger version of this little guy here and I will get it so hard:
My dad had an Audi A4 Turbo for the past three years or so. Lately its electronics have been acting up and no car shop he took it to could figure out what was wrong. Finally he took it to Audi themselves and they were just as clueless and proposed exchanging all the electronics in the car... for something like 3000 Euros.
So my dad said "fuck this" and is now selling the car, for about 11 grand. Question is, what new car should I suggest to him?
Kniwing him he's going to go for a Merc A-class which is ghastly, only because "it's a Mercedes!"
I'm thinking he can get a Volvo S40 or a Saab 9-3 for maybe the same money as an A-class or an Audi A3.

It may only get 21mpg but I can fit a majority of my earthly possessions within this vehicle.
It's kind of a bitch to find parking though. If my father hadn't given me such a deal on this machine I would have preferred a sporty little hatchback instead.
