Recommend a sturdy headset.

Sturdy, comfortable, great sound quality, good quality mic, USB connector, and VERY affordable. I got it on ebay for only $14.99 brand new, and I like it alot more than my Logitech and Plantronics. Highly suggested.
Month old thread from the MMO forum on a similar topic. Check it out.
Last headset I had that is still in one piece is this Logitech:
Aptly titled "Logitech Gaming Headset". Only problem is that the headband wraps behind the head, which can become uncomfortable if you have a headrest.
Yeah I would advise against the logitech headset. The few I've seen have problems with the wires disconnecting at points and leaving you with only one functional can.
I guess I should have mentioned that I only put forth the Logitech due to the fact that I still have it, and thus it has not broken. The OP is looking for something "sturdy", but I guess I had a good one as evidenced by what you guys are saying about your sets. Otherwise, it's kind of a piece of shit.
They cost enough where for just a little more you could get a really good set of Sennheiser's, like the HD 555's ~$100, and a cheap clip-on mic. I can't seem to find that cheap clip-on mic though.
Before anyone mentions the Zalman one, I either had a lemon or they're terrible. Mine had a quiet hum that would never go away, tried it on multiple computers, etc. Then it got eaten by the Roomba, cord snapped like a twig.

I actually use the Zalman right now and it's been working just peachy for about half a year now. Guess you just got unlucky.

I'm considering trying out this Labtec one that's a whopping $5 off Newegg. It's omnidirectional which could be good or bad. I had issues with the Zalman's directional nature, having to position it just right to pick up my voice.
Then again, the comments make the Labtec mic sound very very sensitive to any sounds in the room which would not work well with the HD 555's aforementioned open nature.

My friend has it, and it is an excellent mic attachment. It's got great range and definition. He attches it to his monitor and I hear him fine over TF2 and Vent.
$40. You can't BEAT it. I was fearful of the look of them, because the ear pads aren't rubber or leather, they look clothy and scratchy, but they aren't, they are very very soft. Like those blankets for babies. Every pair of headphones I've ever used eventually produce some level of ear pain, after like six hours, but these I can wear all day long and I forget that I've got them on. Cord is very long, which I'd count as a plus.

I've owned those for two years and like them a lot. The first week or two they hurt my ears, but after that I could wear them all day and be perfectly comfortable.

I think I'll just ask my own question in this thread instead of making one.
So I'm looking for some earphones to replace my default iPod ones. I'm not looking to spend any exorberant amount of money, but I've found some insanely cheap earphones on this site and am wondering if you guys would recommend any one of these three and if they would be significantly better than the ones that came with my iPod.
Or could you recommend some better ones at a comparable price. Honestly normally I wouldn't look but I just happened to stumble across some cheep ones and thought, hey if they are this cheap why not.

Oh, and it's on Amazon for around $26.

This one is super awesome, and surround sound is a bonus:

It's the Woot-off though so act right the fuck now if you want them. Amazon.com sells these for $60, just for reference.
