did the D&G server go down in the past 10 minutes? I'm just hanging on a load screen of Cerce after doing a Bane Venom distribution quest with Nightwing.
Yeah i had a frozen load screen once today too. Had to close down the game.

At the watchtower I can respec my traits, but where (and at what level) can I change my weapon style. Brawling is getting a bit old and it really messes up the camera.
I think it's level 10. Not sure about that though.
And you do it at the same place in the watchtower. Just respec your skill points into another weapon style. Assuming you want to drop Brawling all together.
So after enduring the crashes that only seemed to escalate in how common they were over the past few days, I'm going to just uninstall and reinstall the damned game. If this doesn't fix anything... I don't know =(.
...Except you will always have at least the proficentcy skill for the weapon you picked at Character creation; Focusing entirely on a new weapon as soon as you can means your always 1 skill point shorter than if you focused on your starting weapon.
EDIT: If they are getting worse, the problem might not be the game, but your computer. When's the last time you've dusted it?

...and when you are done with that; take a folding
chair to Creation and then suplex the Void.
Okay, dropping flaming meteors on dudes is pretty much the best thing ever.
Also, the Meteor follow-up attack for Hand Blaster is absolutely pointless. I wasted a skill point so I could keep a dude juggled in the air for .25 more seconds and do 5 extra damage?
Do you mean the Hold, then tap blast? Or the Hold, Hold blast?
It's Hold X2. At my level, the first shot does ~40 damage fully charged, and the follow up "juggles" the target and does 5 more points of damage. As soon as I save up the requisite $500, I'll be doing a respec. The follow-up sucks, and I'll be dropping Fireball, since it's redundant if I have the flaming meteor. The flaming meteor does have its downside though: during the Scarecrow mission I actually had one of the bad guys pick up the meteor and throw it back at me.
I'm getting the feeling that handblasters in general are borked. They're reasonably fast, and ranged, but the combos seem really lacking. All I use anymore are Leaping Attack and Scissor Kick (Level 12).
You guys are really confusing me. I know the Hold x2 one sucks cause it doesn't seem to even hit things half the time, maybe the low damage is the reason. Otherwise Hand Blast is an awesome, awesome weapon. Hold once then tap, tap twice then hold, or tap three times and hold.
Also is it a wise choice to drop Fireball? Or does the meteor apply the burning debuff too?
Meteor Strike, along with Flashpoint after using Immolation or Enflame (which is usually what I do), applies burning as well. However... I might keep fireball for a while, untill you know if you can reliably start burning on enimies with Meteor Strike.
Also, I'm logged in as Ignatia right now, could use an invite.
Handblaster is rad for melee combos. At least, it's about 100x better than the dual blades I had on my first toon, even without its first melee skill.
I am fairly certain that Meteor Strike applies burning without having to Immolate first, since I see several ticks of 1-3 damage on mobs after the initial hit damage. My first toon was fire, too, and instead of Fireball I took Enflame for my second power (after Immolation). I can safely say that Immolate + Enflame is an excellent starter chain; it does substantial burst damage, knocks everyone back, and minion-class enemies will burn to death before they have a chance to attack you again.

I'll try later tonight and see what's up.
I just got to level 10 and then decided to go do the Bane mission in Gotham (originally from Metropolis), and it's so dark and probably not surprising seems to have more player villains out there.

So I made a guy who had a Gas Mask, Paramilitary outfit, and a Red Beret. He had dual pistols. I was having fun especially when I figured out how to make my outfit stay the same even with stuff equipped. Then the server crashed. Oh well. Guess I should make him on the server with you guys. Should be be a villain or a hero?
Hey, doods. Created a Windows partition, created a Steam account and bought and installed DCUO as my first-ever MMO. DCUO Character is Hypertime (mental-flight-superman), kind of a Kirby, Morrison and Crisis-themed hero. My Steam name is hypertimemcmultiverse and I'd like to play with some folks from the community. Derp. Server is Death & Glory, when it's up and not filled to the frickin' brim.
This game is really great. Except chat obviously, that can die in a super-powered fire.
I'm finding that exploring and races are just as compelling as questing and PvP. The fact that one of the exploration missions sent me to a PvP hot-spot (Science Police HQ) was a nice bit of synergy for me due to my 'Kill 5 New Villians' quest.
Also; Legends PvP is great! I seem to have a knack for Robin, either that or he's OP compared to Harlequin? Who knows, it's awesome!
A Harley Quinn who knows how to fight with a Two-hander and when/how to use her stealth, bomb, and spin attack is downright terrifiying.
Robin seems to dominate because his two big skills - 2 and 3 on the taskbar - are pretty easy to use, and he's staff execpt for the one part of staff that sucks.
I thoroughly enjoy my staff/fire character. I find the myriad of stuns with staff make dropping meteors from the sky even more amusing. However, i'm wanting to try out more of the ranged power sets. Which would you guys suggest? Bow, Pistols, Rifles?

I like my Bow character a lot Corrigan, just wish she wasn't on Death and Glory since I made her a villain. I don't know why. Will probably remake her somewhere else.

My limited use of the pistols made them seem really cool. I got a skill that lets me jump backwards while firing.
I love my staff/mental character, the later staff combos you get are great. I find that I am completely defenseless against fire users though in PVP. Most power combos I can beat, but fire guys rape me.

Hmmm Trying to find a villain from Venture Brothers that would translate well into this is hard.

Firstly on the trait thing, are you sure? I didn't recall having less skill points when I respecced my hero. Of course I may be wrong.
The last time I gave it a dusting? Well... not opened the thing in a long time, and honestly I'm hesitent to do so since it technically isn't my own machine. I keep the outside part of the fans well wiped off. Otherwise I'd updated both my sound and video drivers, turned off VSync in-game which did actually seem to fix the problem... for a time.
Speaking of tech problems, I get some weird thing where every 15ish minutes, I get like 3 minutes of almost unplayable framerate dropping. Then it just randomly goes away, and im running perfectly smooth. 15 minutes later its back, and im tapping my attacks, but its lagging so hard on my end its reading it as hold attacks. It has only been like this the past 2 days, the first day I had no problems whatsoever playing.

You still have all the points, you just have to spend one extra point to focus on a differnent weapon, since you get profincecy for the weapon you pick at CC for free.
As for the crashing, that's understandable, and if DCUO is the only thing doing it (and you've running other programs that are work your machine harder or just as hard) then maybe it is just a bug you have the misfortune of getting.

Yep, as far as I know. The SOE forums are getting destroyed, too, if that's any indication.
