So I was walking through gamestop the other day, and I saw a copy of this on one of the shelves. Since I didn't know anything about it, I thought I'd do some research before putting down money.
Having read a few reviews, the game sounds like a 3d roguelike, and as a result, the reviews hated it. Since I know there're a decent amount of roguelike players on the boards here, I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether this game would be worth my money at all.
League of Legends: Sorakanmyworld
FFXIV: Tchel Fay
Nintendo ID: Tortalius
Steam: Tortalius

Whether it's worth your money depends on how much they were asking for it.
It's very much a Roguelike. Which is just a bizarre experience on a console, truth be told. However, it looks like ass, which can be a problem for some people.
If you can pick it up on the cheap, I'd recommend it.
Baroque is a remake of a Saturn game.... which may explain the look.
Anyways.
Great game IF AND ONLY IF you're a fan of roguelikes and you like twisted, disturbing, hard-to-follow, stories. If you do not comfortably fulfill both those conditions, you won't like it. It is niche gaming at its most niche. I like it a lot though.
Edit: Another point worth considering is that Atlus games are so niche that they usually end up rare and worth $$. Not that I'd buy baroque just to resell it in 2 years, but it's something to keep in mind for anything from this publisher.
