    Rum is pure joy.

The setup, bright colors, and relative cleanliness of this pic would lead me to believe this is some sort of IKEA or Target ad for a dorm-room gaming setup, which I actually like.

Looks like you actually give a crap about, eh, knowing where shit is ;)

That is awesome. Can I have one?

What parts did you use to make it and did you write anything anywhere about how you made it?
Here's my Gamecube mod. Inside is a Pico-ITX, 80Gig SATA hard drive, and Bluetooth recievers. I had also put a slimline slot loading drive in there but there was so little space inside that the motherboard overheated, causing the system to shut down after about 40mins.

You can also see an Apple Wireless keyboard and Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse. The display is a 19" BenQ FP93V.

It sits on my desk in the staff room and has got a lot of attention.
Is there any more detail about this out there than this from your Flickr.

    tl;dr
I want one how do I go about it?

Someday I will have a 42" HDTV, but until then I have to make do with a puny Dell monitor.

See that's not true, because there's not enough Macs in it, and you can see wires under the desk.

I need to get my place up-and-running. I have pictures of when it was a clusterfuck of PC's on a living room table after we'd just moved in (priorities!). Then I had an OK desk and monitor in an out-of-the-way corner. That was before I realized that my computer could output to my LCD TV.

I am now computing onto the top of my dresser, taking up the whole living room to do so. On the plus side, cable is for suckers.

And it's the Spice-colored GC. Very nice.

Was this a custom job or is there a guide for this kind of thing? If I knew someone with a busted GC I'll likely give it a shot.

I bought the new 2.8ghz 8 Core for daily desktop use (Using Logic 8, Reason 4, working on my website, browsing the web, running XP under parallels, ripping hd movies and that sort of thing)

I have the old 2ghz 4 core with 4 terabytes of internal storage as a file server, remote desktop server, itunes server for my appletv and huge movie library, and to run Virtual Hub and Handbrake in the background)

The PC under the desk is my backup movie cruncher / disc ripper if the other two are occupied.

Mostly I just use my laptop though.

They are the 5a actually. I like them, not as much as my old Roland D-90s but they don't make those anymore so I picked these up on the cheap as part of a package deal.

Since they are monitor speakers they are pretty flat sound wise, the bass being pretty much transparent since it's supposed to be giving us a clear unflavoured sound. The 8a actually have thump to them, so I write it off as being the difference in driver size causing my lack of fullness.

They are fed via 1/4" from my Presonus Firepod currently.

Since my monitor is too big for the desk, I had to remove the top shelf and therefore the speakers are too low. Before I moved I had them sitting on Pregesso Chicken Soup cans and they were the exact perfect height. I lost the cans during the move and have been meaning to make some real stands just haven't had time. They are VERY narrow field monitors.

kouri1977 said he bought it second hand and busted. I have done the same with a Platinum silver one from my local awesome auction site. I have the motherboard and all thing to make a computer as of now but not my plastic case - The kind of case that has GCN gubbins in which I may put into another project in the future.

I really want a spice cube and a japanese cube to pick up the slack from what freeloader doesn't do well - Donkey Konga 3. "Now with Fifty Songs" or whatever its called
