I never preorder a game, it is almost always pointless because I have never had trouble getting a game without a preorder. That includes GTA4, Halo 2 and Halo 3. Oh well maybe I can pirate the game when it comes out, and play on a private server, because I am sure that will happen before a trial comes out.
Are you seriously upset because Mythic is rewarding their pre-order customers? You're saying you won't buy the game unless you can play a trial first, but then you rag on suggestions that you use a pre-order as a method of trial. Putting $5 down on the SE Pre-order just for the Open Beta code isn't a viable option for you? If you hate the game, transfer the $5 to another title you want to buy.
Kind of reminds me of my friend who is all up-in-arms about the CE's getting in-game content that no-one else will ever be able to get. I tried talking to him about all other MMO's that have done things like this (as well as other genres which have done it worse. Battlefield I'm looking at you!), but he didn't listen. I didn't even try to tell him about all the Con's he would have to go to to get everything ever disigned for an MMO. But, in the end I think all hes saying is: "Wahhhh why didnt I order the CE when I had the chance. Wahhhhh!!"
I preordered the standard edition today, but they gave me one of the sheets of paper labeled Collector's Edition since I guess they don't have their standard preorder boxes in yet.
You guys will love to hear about the Mouths' greatest achievement thus far. We are, flat out, the best at something. Something that has nothing to do with keeps, killing stunties, or snotlings.

Anyone noticed that the Amazon banner on WA explicitly states three days for early access? Luckily, I went and told everyone at work they wouldn't see me until the 18th. Yay having an annual company meeting on WAR's launch day...

Probably better for you. I ordered a CE for me and a SE for my girlfriend. The SE codes are completely different. If you enter the CE codes, you'll probably get into Closed Beta with the rest of the CE people next week.

With release so close now, I'm worried about how well I'll be able to run WAR.
My current system meets a good deal of the system Requirements, it's just, well. I have a 2.0 GHZ Processor, not a 2.5 GHZ. and I'm not all sure my motherboard can take a 2.5 GHZ processor with me going and just building a new computer motherboard and all.

I'm already in the closed beta.
Mark has said that SE codes are not compatible with CE codes.
So, if you enter your CE Headstart code to play and then use your SE CD Key, you could run into trouble.

Processors are not too taxed most of the time. Your graphics card soaks up most of the punch, except when it comes to Source-based games. Second most important is probably RAM. CPU-wise you *should* be fine. Might not be able to have a great draw distance, I guess.

Good, everything else meets the requirements, so, I guess I can hope for the best.
Also kind of depends on what you mean by 2.0 GHZ. My 2.4GHZ Core 2 Duo is far, far faster than the 2.5 GHZ Pentium 4 listed on the minimum requirements sheet. The megahurtz don't mean the same things they used to.

Yeah, Athlons got more bang for their cycle than Pentiums in ye olden days of processors. 3000+ is roughly equivalent to a 3.0ghz Pentium 4 by AMD's measurements.

hmmm, I may have to bring this up on Mythics forums somewhere then, because this sounds like a pointless hassle to me that I would rather not run into.
Yeah, the GOA rep who posts over on WHA (IainC) mentioned that GOA was caught by suprise at Mark's announcements yesterday. So apparently there was some sort of lack of communication on someone's part.
Hopefully GOA and Mythic can get whatever kinks there happen to be worked out, so that the Euro experience with WAR is the same as us NA folks. I imagine there are quite a few more Euro Warhammer fans than NA Warhammer fans.

wait what
Or else.
Wait... what else?
Are we good at?
Helpful info is helpful.
We also won't mourn it or hesitate to burn it all to the ground once it drops.
