So...I am still not in the beta even though I have been applied for over a year...just thought you guys would like to know...
Honestly though its probably best that I don't get this game because I have to start taking classes soon and I get addicted to MMOs pretty easily. Maybe addicted isn't the right word, just sometimes real life gets in the way of my MMO time.
They are when everyone else is in the level range. It does die down to normal levels when the initial rush is done.

I have been applied since June 2007 and I have a Q6600, 3gb of ram, and an 8800gts 512mb and still no beta. Also for no reason I am not a "veteran subscriber" yet.

Pretty sure "veteran subscriber" means you've played DAoC.
Like 40 people in this thing... I come 4th.... only to roll 10th.
Fuck.
First off, the influence rewards really offset the BS sometimes that happens so don't fret.
Also, once I just showed up to a PQ when they were fighting the last boss of the PQ and joined when he was at around 60% life. At the end, I got like a +50 to my roll which was hardly anything and I won first place reward.
Did I miss a post saying the NDA was down or has not talking about things for so long taken it's toll and people don't even care about it anymore?
Honestly, PA looks very tame compared to other much more public places.
The recent wave has posed new problems, tech issues and eh, the NDA is in it's last throws.

I can see the NDA coming down on Monday, as Mark has been quoted (and repeated) as saying, "Each week out of NDA before release is 1 point... 4 points is good... 3 not so much"
Oh and Trophies? Fucking amazing idea. So good.
Now, I hope EVERY.SINGLE.TROPHY actually shows up where you put it.... cause if not it's useless.
This game has the same problem for me as CoX. Concepts: Great. Delivery: Piss.
I keep logging in thinking pleasant thoughts and get crushed by the mountain of trivialities that stack it into a completely unenjoyable experience.
In a lot of ways I... pretty much agree.
Still going to give them the benefit of the doubt until after it launches, as this is beta after all and anything could change between now and then(at least one of my problems with the game was mostly fixed in the last patch for instance). And I'm not cancelling my pre-order or anything (Although I'd keep my pre-order for the Art-book regardless, god the concept art for this game is awesome)
It will be great when the NDA is gone, because I wonder if the issues you have with the game are the same as mine.

Agreed If we weren't under an NDA, I'd talk about how fucking awesome the PQs are right from start.
Yeah, the lowbie areas are especially awesome. They do a great job of just pulling you into the game, like they are supposed to do.
Playing around on a few characters to get a "feel" for things, there have been a few things I've really enjoyed from the little I've seen so far.
Lot's of potential.

Went to bed immediately after the post.
Woke up at said midnight, with the file completed 100%.

Don't count on getting PQ loot. Like... ever. Just do it for the experience/influence. The influence rewards are pretty good.

Yeah, I gave up on counting on PQ loot. I came in first 5 times in a row on my Witch Hunter. All five times I got nothing.
It's like reputation but you don't have to leave your girlfriend to get anything out of it.
