CASes only use preexisting characters' movesets in SC4, except for Algol and the Star Wars characters (The anime artist designed ones are also all clones, just with unique weapons (Man I wish I could use Shura's dual katanas on my CAS...)). The upside to this is you can change their fighting style at any time, and aren't limited to unchangable classes like you were in SC3.
I miss Greave Edge, too.
Question answered while typing.
Also: FUCK.......................
I really want to give him black robes, white out his skin a bit and a red light saber. Darth Yoda FTW!!!!
And I wanted the Apprentice, so I went into Arcade as Yoda and beat the shit out of the first 6 guys. IS it just me or is the Apprentice the perfect Yoda foil? That man fucked me up for 5mins of fight time before I finally lucked out and beat his ass.
And BTW, Yoda's Critical Finish is bad fucking ass. That's how Doku should have died in the Pre-quels.
I don't "get" Hilde apparently, I'm not very good with her. I like her anyway, though.
Yunsung is fun as balls.
I am terrible with Yoda.
Hilde Hilde Hilde. How can I make you better? I guess I have yet to have a charge move flow correctly other than knocking someone down with a throw and then holding the button and unleashing while they get up.
I don't like Astaroth, but last night I played a bit with his moveset since I made (a very crappy) Hector from Fire Emblem.
I spent quite a bit of time with Hilde last night. I like her, though I'm just getting used to her moveset... It took me 10 minutes to beat The Apprentice in Arcade Mode
I also made Kain from Final Fantasy 4 and gave him Hilde's moveset. Because Kain is badass.
Xbox Live is a hive of scum and villainy?
Seriously, the fuckers will make KKK hoods out of Halo 2 and Halo 3 emblems. Just be comforted in the fact that they're too much of a pussy to spout their bullshit in the real world.
So, I bought this game last night. I played it for a little while and got very excited and then fell asleep. Somehow I ended up back here at work and I really want to play.
Had a blast for about an hour and a half...loved every minute of it.
Nightmare seems awesome this time around, although Voldo has had some combos changed which confused me for a bit.
Youtube Channel!
The character editor is weird though. So like... can I only edit existing characters? Or can I make a dude with Ivy's whip-sword or whatever? Do I unlock more editor stuff in the Tower?
It's about halfway down, I think it's just to the left of the random box.
I'm dead serious."
This confused me for the LONGEST fucking time. I kept hitting the Star but that's for Bonus Characters you can earn. The NEw guy is in the middle and there will be a chick and a dude in the portrait. that's what's missing from the Create/Edit character is context sensitive overlay. Like when I highlight Kilik, it should say Kilik somewhere. So weird they didn't do that.
So does anyone know if you ever unlock the ability to edit up Yoda or The Apprentice? Only thing I can change at the moment is their skills.
Is a monocle and tophat dinosaur possible?
It's limited depending on the character. For example you can't edit Nightmare's lower layer chest slot but everything else is fine.
Edit: I can't remember if you can add a monocle to Lizardman. I do know that you can add masks but they appear on his forehead.
Bison, Blade, She-hulk, one of the girls from DoA, and Leonidas.
Now we are talking characters that look 99% true to the originals....
I *heart* the character creator.
It's called online gaming :? People need to spend less time complaining on forums, and actually start reporting and muting the people acting like dicks. Believe it or not, if someone consistently gets reports about that type of stuff, they DO get the ban. But instead, people whine in forums, don't do the report, or even the mute thing, and the good people just hush up, and don't play in public, so things don't get any better.
I've had a lot of good experiences playing with randoms. You just have to take a few seconds and mute some people at times to improve your experience :P Sorry. Not meaning to rant. Just a pet peeve.
How do you mute people? I've been playing Live for a while, but I've never looked into it.
Bring up the blade, and to to the last players played with list (it's in the friends area) click on the person's gamertag, and you can mute and report them from there. Most games give you the ability to bring up a player's gamercard from the lobby as well. So just bring them up, and you're given the option. It takes a couple seconds, and it silences screamers, mouth breathers, etc without having to tune out everyone else.
Style level effects what "level" skills you can equip to characters in character customization, and you get it just through fighting in non-practice modes with said character.
Or a character with that style, in the case of customs.
Yesterday I fought Princess Peach. It was funny because it used Setsuka, so she even had the parasol.
Why can't I fight against these cool custom characters? All I keep seeing is The Apprentice, Yoda, and Kilik. Though I will say that I saw someone with a nice customized Siegfried.
I don't think you're allowed to edit their appearances. I was able to buy an upgraded lightsaber for the apprentice, though.
Damnit, that blows. I so want to make an Evil Darth Yoda. Atleast let me change the color of his robes and saber. Damn.
Throw-Forcepunch-Throw-Forcepunch
Seriously? Dammit! I wanted to make a custom character for my girlfriend to play as. See, she's short. And like all short people, nothing delights her more than being reminded of the fact that she is half a person every second of her miserable half-life.
Maaaan. Maybe I'll just make her Amy.
GT is PunkBoy412
He has a small hit box, is unthrowable and he seems to jump slow left to right, but up and down he's a quick little monkey. I am changing levels with him so quickly that you really don't know where to hit him or where to block. And his Critical Finish is the sweetest sauce ever.
Eh to me in a few plays he had little that interested me and his mix up game seems average at best. Also I feel it's worth it to note that I absolutely DESPISE the Yoda Dooku fight scene in the movies and would prob. put that as the single worst scene in all 6 movies combined(While I like Yoda the scene ruins his Samurai like image).
I mean, he just straight up Wind Wakers the opponent.
