... ordered your badge before August 1st, and you live in the US, your badge was mailed out.
... ordered your badge after August 1st, your badge will be available at Will Call.
... are outside of the US, your badge will be available at Will Call regardless of when it was purchased.
The "your badge will be available at will call" notice for everyone on Brown Paper Tickets was a result of us changing the registration to will call only after August 1st.
I'm somewhat mixed up at this time ::
My situation is not outlined above...
- I ordered mine before march 31st
- I contacted Robert Khoo directly, as I ordered 12 tickets and got the group discount
- I live in Canada.
As I ordered them with the group rate with direct contact: will they be shipped directly to me - or does it fall under ' if you are outside of the US, your badge will be available at Will Call regardless of when it was purchased'
It has me confused.
Thanks to whomever can clarify for me.

I think you will have to find them at will call, as fas as I know they don't ship outside the US regardless of where, when they were ordered, and how many were ordered. Somebody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though...
Badge got yesterday, along with a new Venture Bros' t-shirt I'll be wearing (because, really, where else could I wear a Venture Bros' t-shirt besides a geek-fest like PAX?)

Anywhere, because it's such a niche show that people probably won't even notice.
hmmm, when did they stop the mailing to Canada? Is that apolicy they started this year?
I only wonder as I have gotten my badges in the mail for the past 4 years with no trouble. I think that's what is throwing me off now. I expected to receive my badges in the mail so I could distribute them to my friends before we left for PAX, but now see all this 'will call' stuff......

damnit i'm getting impatient, mine still hasn't arrived, and i live a half hour north of seattle!

That started this year. badges are only being mailed to the US.
Last year there was a huge issue of tons of badges being lost going across borders. So all international attendees pick it up at willcall.
And lo and behold, nestled among the LL Bean catalogs and my power bill, I did receive my badges. Now I may enter that vasty wilderness of Arcadia, secure in the certainty of my passage.
I got in trouble last year for keeping my badge in my fedora's hatband. I wonder if that will continue to be an issue?

The WSCTC security wants it on your lanyard at chest level, or else they will yell at you :P

Oh crap!
What does this mean for internationals? I'm not familiar with the workings of the willcall at PAX.

Thank God, I finally got my badges. I was starting to worry that the mail man decided to "loose" my badges, lol.
Quick question, what are these Jackals that the letter kept talking about?
I was confused about that too, and I consider myself to be a rather decent repository of PA lore...
The PAX pre-reg letter last year referenced jackals. I can't remember in exactly which way, though. I think the jackals were media, or non-hardcore-gamers, or tabletop gamers, or SOMETHING. If someone has a copy of the letter they could clarify (though why anyone would have saved it is beyond me)

I saved mine, it's at home though, and I'm at work.
AAAAANNNDD Will call will be open from 6-8 pm on the Thursday night before PAX as well.
kelp said they'd probably be around till about midnight on Thursday, but 8 pm for sure.
This is excellent planning... reminds me of the recent Pemberton festival in BC, which, despite really poor organization on a lot of fronts (way worse than either PAX i've attended!) had a similar system.

Well - I feel better now - I got a PM from Robert confirming that the group reg packages are being sent out - even to the frozen north lands.. I mean Canada - so I don't have to keep stressing... *whew*

Don't worry. I got in trouble for wearing my lanyard/badge around my wrist last year as well. Still gonna do it, though. It's something that is permanently branded in my brain to rebel against lanyards around my neck. ...Blame High School.

This reminds me of the concerts in 06... Enforcers at the doors just HOLLERING, "Badges UP! Put your BADGES UP!" like an episode of COPS or something.
Also as far as I remember from last year it was:
3 Day = Red
One Day... was blue, I think?
Press= Yellow

Well i was expecting to get the point, since i made the thread anyways. :P
Also, it's great that everyone's getting your badge BUT I WANT TO SEE SOME PICTURES!!!!!
You get the lanyard at the convention.
if you want to wear it now use your own lanyard. Im sure im not the only one who has a collection of like 50 different lanyards :P
then you put it on your lanyard from last year
I only have 3 >_<
and 2 of them are from PAX '06 and '07. I wonder what this years will be...
I have a hangar in my closet with lanyards from so many places it's not even funny. Just going to one old E3 would get you 10 lanyards.

It was weird seeing "Three Day" written on it what with the festivities before and after the con.
Speaking of which, is the pub crawl still on?
Go check the pub crawl thread.
