Oblivion help(vampirism)

So I finally got around to getting Oblivion when my brother and I bought a PS3. Its fun, I decided to be a Nord born under The Lord with a Knight class. This was fine until I did the Grey Prince sidequest, where I contracted porphyric hemophilia. I didn't know that this was curable with a normal cure disease potion, but it went away. I didn't think anything of it. Three days later I became a vampire. Learning of the additional fire damage that being a vampire brings, I decide to try to get rid of it. So after a little hunt, I find a way to cure it. I talk to the withc and do her long and tedious fetch quest. I find everything. Finally I can get the cure, right? Wrong. Apparently on the Game of the Year version, there is a bug where she will not take the bloodgrass, because the option is still greyed out, unlike the other options, which light up if you have the item. So I was wondering if there were any plans to release a patch through PSN, or if there are any ways to fix it.

I've heard of the non GOTY version being used for that part, but it can apparently cause toehr problems with the Shivering Isles. So I'm trying to avoid that, and I'm wondering how bad the bugs actually are it can cause.

I'm also kind of annoyed that it wasn't caught, as after reading up on it, they've had problems with this quest in every rendition of the game and you think they would check for something like this. No use crying over spilt milk now though.

So, any idas or help? Thanks!

    Do you have online?

I have the original version of the game for 360. After beating the game and wanting to get rid of vampirism, I did the same fetch quest as you, and ran into the same problem. I didn't play the game after that for six or seven months. One day I popped it in, the game updated itself online, and I completed the quest.

Then I got caught stealing from the Mage's Guild and put it down again.
