I demand a fresh-impression post about WAR. Don't care which thread, I just want an opinion from a new player, rather than someone who's been hyped about the game for the past 4 years and has lived and breathed the beta for the past months.
Well I can paraphrase what an RL friend who's never played an MMO before had to say after playing OB for a couple of hours, "I'm addicted all ready. When my wife kicks me out of the house can I stay at your place?"
Has their been anymore hints about i13's release month? I want to make epic missions about wang.

I started playing WAR on the Open Beta a week ago or so. I had applied to the Closed Beta back in June 2007. I didn't follow the thread, nor did I hype myself up too much.
I went out of my way to buy a Collector's Edition after that one week of Open Beta. It's a great game.

Hey gang. Here's the deal. The packs were up on the PlayNC store for a short time yesterday, but that wasn't in sync with the game version. Now that the new game version is up today, we should have the cyborg pack and temp jetpack available for purchase tomorrow.
the video didn't get pulled, it just can't be embedded and i can't figure out how to give you a straight link. so just click the title of the video and view it directly.
Interesting to note, this leaves no body to rez, veng, fallout or whatever. you have to hospital to "get better." Also it does more damage than an assassian strike, the damage doesn't change across ATs, and it has an hour recharge timer.

Also, I'm out till..... i13. Hell, I might not even resub... I think its time to retire the tights.
Well, its certainly more interesting to me than the wedding pack was, but I'm still not resubscribing until I13 appears. There's been a remarkable absence of any news about it lately.

I imagine it would probably look better if they had picked darker colors for the screenshots, maybe black and a bright blue as opposed to the red/white. But even then...

Yea, I can't tell what Jay was going for.
The body looks similar to the guys from Crysis, but the face looks odd. It looks familiar, but I can't place it right now. I'd have liked more options, like some retro-style kits all the way up to Terminator-style skeletons. I'm disappointed that there's only one/two basic models.
We should have had said something more by now, about Issue 13. But… like all great architectural endeavors, Issue 13 is taking on a life of its own and we’re not quite ready to spill forth all the information.
So, just a quick note to say thanks for your patience, even though we know you may not really be patient. Trust us, it’s coming; we’re working on it – and there’s more great stuff coming (like you haven’t heard that before, but really, we mean it!)

According to Popular Rumor (I CANNOT NAME MY SOURCE) something was really horribly wrong with the mission creator, they had to roll it back some, delaying all things i13 related.

What is your global name tube? Are you on virtue? Are you in the Penny Arcade global channel? Also you have to be online to be invited.

takes 10 end to use self destruct, so you'd have to carry a blue with you.
Also now apparently it doesn't give debt.

I've always loved RotP, great animation and very useful in certain situations.
