So, my friend is going to Japan later this week. I need to think of some stuff he can get me. Anything any particular. I figured some Japanese candy, soda, american soda in japenese labeling units etc, a newspaper, some yen, but also seeing as how its like nerdcore central I should get something more.

Any suggestions?

    What's the common name for those little figures that you get out of vending machines over there? I saw something about that in some Japan thread a while back, like, they're a big fuckin' deal but they're just little crappy figures from a vending machine...
