Those of you who were in the PA panel 2 might recall that someone (me)
asked Tycho about the possibility of using a room next year to screen old-school gamer cartoons, to which he seemes fairly enthusiastic. I've sent him an e-mail about it and hopefully he's not too inundated with them already to reply. In the meantime, what do you guys think? I can only think of four shows:
-The Super Mario Brothers Super Show
-The Legend of Zelda
-Sonic the Hedgehog (Old '93 version, not this Sonic X crap)
-Captain N: The Game Master
Now, I own actual liscenced DVD copies of Super Mario and Sonic, but I cannot find for the life of me anything legit for Zelda or Captain N. Heck, I can't find more than a coupld Captain N episodes, and the quality is terrible.
Anything I'm missing here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's Zelda. I dunno if Captain N is out or is coming out.
Don't forget about Mega Man.
Now THAT, good sir, I would stand in line for :-)

It is quite awesome, but is a listening thing, not a watching thing. Dunno if that'd work.
Yes, a 'mellowness' room would be a great idea, and if it had Zelda playing in the background, all the better, right?
And yes, Monkey, looking back, I remember Captain N being fairly....terrible.
And Cosmos, if you're willing to bring Zelda, that would be uber-cool.
There should also be some sort of organized swap meet thing, where you can bring and trade paraphernalia.
Isn't it like 15 hours long?
Don't get me wrong, I would attend a marathon vigil sounding of the ILB soundtrack in black shirt with fist held high, POSSIBLY pouring out a forty for [spoiler:2a1191884b]J J[/spoiler:2a1191884b], but that seems excessive.
It's like...5 hours long.
Maybe like...2.5 hours each night?
So someone would have to talk to Nintendo and Sega, as well as probly whoever published the show, or made the dvds, or whatever...
I would totally bring my snes, genesis, nes or hell, even my old master system to play some Zaxxon or Double dragon!
I haven't gotten a reply from Tycho yet, (I'm not fussy, we have a year or so) but yes, getting permission is going to be our biggest hurdle. I'll get on that and see what I come up with. Since Nintendo now owns Sega, would that mean they own the rights to all the Sonic, Mario, Link AND Captain N shows?
I believe that they were thinking about that at one point. However, having spray products in that environment would not be a good idea.
I'd rather smell twenty thousand rotten asses all day than a convention center filled with that horrible shit.
You do have a valid point.....
That's why you get them to sponsor and have them give the small bottles of the solids. :P
Uh....?
That's all i suggest, otherwise it was an awesome experience.
