you might have a tattoo, which is cool. tell us about it. what's it all about? why'd you get it?
i don't have any yet, but i'll be getting the jack of clubs on my left forearm soon. did you know that each jack in a modern deck of cards represents a person of either historical or mythological import? the jack of clubs is lancelot, and knights have a lot of inherent moral value. symbolism is neat, guys. also i'm into magic and juggling and stuff, so a playing card just seems appropriate.
my father was once a cable repair guy, and since he was notorious for having his buttcrack showing on the job, he got a set of winking eyes tattooed above his waistline. i thought it would be a good tattoo for a gay guy.

I want it to be important to me, but it also needs to somewhat fit me. I'm a skinny, less-than-totally-masculine guy, and something like Jeph Jacques's birds or WaM's tree would suit me better than most tattoos. I need something beautiful, fitting and somehow more meaningful than "that thurr purty"

I'm thinking of getting a design on my neck/upper back, with a symbol to represent each decade of my life so far, with the obvious intention of adding to it every ten years
The symbol for 20-30 will be the number 100101 in some yet to be decided form, because our relationship started on the 10th of January 2001
Not sure what I'll get for the first two decades of my life though, I need to have a good think about it
basically most of the things i hold important in writing and in my own life.
but i'm broke, so that's not happening any time soon.
My plan next is to get this tribal wolf thingy that's howling and I want to put Winter Is Coming on the bottom of it. That one I'd almost be embarrassed about, since I'm obsessed with the books, but I won't. It takes most people the span of eleven seconds to figure out I'm a dork anyway.
