    EDIT: also does HoNC ever change maps by itself? Every. Single. Time. I've seen it in the last week or so it's been on canalzone. A few of the newer maps look good, would it be possible to up their priority in rotation for a bit?

    EDIT: also does HoNC ever change maps by itself? Every. Single. Time. I've seen it in the last week or so it's been on canalzone. A few of the newer maps look good, would it be possible to up their priority in rotation for a bit?

    I usually push the newer stuff towards the front. (Right now Overflow's in front of Canalzone.) I'm pretty sure it'll change by itself if someone comes into the server, runs around for a bit, and then leaves when the map-limit gets hit. It won't change if no one connects, though. Pretty sure I've seen a option to do so, gotta remember where I saw it exactly.

    Nothing is better than getting Flippy to toggle beacon on me and managing to stab a medic and someone else after a demo saw the beacon and stopped chasing me when I rounded a corner.

    Here is a small piece of criticism: In this game, on attack and defend maps in which everyone must funnel through the same points (Dustbowl and Goldrush), scout is rendered practically useless due to the constant spam of soldier and demo classes. I don't know how to fix this, but it annoys me.

    Its not Soldiers and Demos that kill good Scouts, usually. Its the Sentry Guns.

    Yep, SGs render Scouts useless but the maps are also pretty cramped with a lot of chokepoints. That's a real design flaw of the class, hopefully they'll work to fix it with the unlocks. It's not a coincidence Scouts are nearly tied for least played class now.

    That would be awesome. Though you've now given me the perfect reason to join, run around a bit, then come back when the map limit is over.

    Also, I want to see what the unlocks do for the scout, because currently the scout isn't the best for defense (Though I've seen a few people hold their ground on Goldrush pt2).

    Heavy update is going to be killer. In my past few Heavy runs, I've been mowed down by everything. The only thing I can get now is pyros coming at me from a mile away, and even then I'm left with half health.

    What do you mean scouts arent the best for defense? Thats all scouts can do!! If they ever play offense they hit a sentry and are dead. A couple scouts are the best class in the world for gravelpit A point defense.

    If there were no engies, scout would be the best class there is.

    I really have no idea how you could even fix this in an update. Freaking sentries...

    Scout is great for loose offense when they are no sentries around.

    As scout, you don't touch anyone not by themselves unless you figure you have a chance of killing both. I tend to sneak by enemies and get on the next point more than anything else as scout.

    and batting flippy while yelling "Incoming!"

    Scout needs to be played in a guerilla manner when on offense.

    Darting, lethal strikes, then get out. Surviving is more important than getting a kill. Do damage when and where you can, then leg it back and heal to go in for another surgical strike.

    Overreaching will kill you, yes. But they can definitely be effective attackers.

    I'm gonna give Scout another go.

    Engineer is easy with pinecones if I use the pistol almost exclusively, so I'm sure Scout couldn't be toomuchhaaaaardohgodwhyistheheavyinfrontofmeowowowowmommypleaseSENTRYGUNSOHSHITHELPDISPENSERGOESHERE.

    scouts are for killing medics, demomen, and lone engineers without sentries.

    And for batting flippy when he isn't using us for skeetshot

    I've found it's fun to trail a pyro on your team, get shot up a bit, then steal healthpacks right before the flaming person gets it.

    I've never done that before, it just sounds fun.
