Okay, so let's be clear since people are all "I CAN'T BE HERE" and "SOMEONE REPLACE ME"
Rak is officially on the roster for 67FC, so they still have their two sub spots. Since we have a long night ahead of us tomorrow please, please, please figure out your sub situation beforehand so that we can start on time.
It's a three way tie in the east, so this is what's going to happen. I'm going to use random.org to choose a number between 1 and 3. The number chosen will play the winner of dustbowl in goldrush.
And the magic number is........3.
So at 7:30pm eastern tomorrow (Thursday) the 67Fightin' Cocks will play The L4D Beta on Dustbowl. Each team will get to attack and get to defend once, just like we've been doing on Gravelpit. The winner will immediately play Rotting Corps on Goldrush. Each gets to attack once and defend once. I expect Dustbowl to last approximately an hour (although there's no time limit so no guarantees) so RC you guys need to be ready about 8:30pm eastern to play for the final eastern match. The winner of this will go on to play PoOP in the finals on Saturday.
Dude, we played the entire first match with two men less than you did.
Seriously, you did not just post that.
haha costanza.
I understand Flippy, I'm not upset about it, I just wanted to play wif all yalls and should have maybe posted my replacement a few days ago. Either way, at the very least, I'll volunteer to play medic/pyro/heavy/engy anything I don't normally play. That is, if you guys still want me to play, I really won't hold any hard feelings against any of you. (nevermind I just read asiina's comment below, I'll volunteer to play anything BUT sold/demo but it's whatever jesuits decides.)
Only thing I have to say about it, is as long as your team is communicating and patting each other on the backs and moving all at once, it's usually a shitstorm with or without personal skills/how you're doing at the moment. As long as there's motivation and a little bit of brainwork between the players, success is within grasp.
Once again, no hard feelings, I just wanted to frag and possibly make out with a few of you. You all give me a huge boner.
And dammit Spets stop running into my pipes you got us both killed like 5 times!
Yeah, that was pretty embarrassing. Thanks for mentioning I fail to dodge pipes as a scout, as if flippy's twitch head shot kill while I was behind him wasn't enough.

There's a difference between skill level and tactical knowledge.
I might be an okay medic, but the scrim I did yesterday showed me just how much I lack tactical and communication wise. I've always strived to do better at this and the level of it I saw was like having my thoughts echoed back at me. But knowing the theory, thinking up the theory, and actually having the practical practise at it, hours and hours of it, are completely different things. It is not easy to communicate and coordinate. Just like any other thing, it is something you have to practise. Same with tactical knowledge. It's easy to think "you should kill the medic" or other important things....but very hard to keep this up.
Rak and Enders, skill wise, is roughly the same.
Rak and Enders, in tactical knowledge and moral and motivation, Rak is just leagues ahead of Enders. I know he can coordinate medics well, but Rak can guide a whole team into a cohesive unit. And he's had hours of practise at it under periods of heavy stress and pressure, not casual games.
I'd rather have had enders. Actually I'd rather have had both their missing team members. I hate playing teams with men down. I can't learn anything from that.
But I can't learn anything from a game with rak in it either, because nobody on my team has the knowledge or experience to counter it.
So I'm unhappy with the entire game. Playing with people down, it's not a tournament. All teams should be composed of the team members and an extra three or so subs or reserves, just like it works in any other sport. This way you can balance the reserves with the team as well.
I hold nothing against him though, and understand that they needed a sub, so hold nothing against them either. They played their best. I can't fault that.
Also don't fault asiina, she has done a great job and I mean you can't think of everything, we're only humans.
I'd just rather have lost to enders on both maps, is what I'm saying.
In other news, Manny I will have nightmares about you and your fire.

I agree, thanks asiina for being so organized and collective.
I just want to give credit where credit is due: Whoever was playing scout for our opponents tonight had my number something fierce. I'd find a nice, quiet place to set equipment up, and as soon as I turned around there that bastard would be.
haha thanks i didn't mean so much for WoW, but for cod4. Plus thanks morning, I found this as you were posting it and I was like wow i can't believe i missed this. I just meant do any of you guys play on WoW, I could care less about anyone else really.
tofu: i've been there before, I just want to know if anyone here plays. I know tyrannus does but he won't start a new char or help me out >.<
